Yeah my disagreement isn't with that necessarily, more with the framing that it's a bad thing.
Right wing in it's purest form, sure. But modern right wing politics isn't all about pro-capitalst ideals as a primary motivation, modern right wing politics is about nationalism and the xenophobia and racism it taps in to in order to secure the vote. It's also heavily reliant on using cherry picking divisive religious sentiments and weaponising them. It is now the politics of emotion (primarily anger), and when the voting populous are sufficiently ensnared into the lies the politicians of the right start to do whatever the hell they want.
I cannot see how this is anything but a bad thing sadly.
