SIM-only contracts

well if your willing to try again, make a shortlist of alternatives, and then ring up again and say, I can get this on vodabone... wanna match it ?

if they dont, use that info to get yourself another contract elsewhere

Tried telling them I could get it cheaper elsewhere, I was simply asked if I wanted my PAC code! :eek:

Playing hardball doesn't work, but I do have another avenue of possibility I can try.
 
Finally got it sorted.

30 day rolling contract, 300 mins/unlimited texts/500MB, £12.50/month.

Happy with that.
 
Just been through the hoops myself with vodacon, between my wife and I (same account) we spend nearly £50 a month and they didn't want to even try to keep me, and I've never gone near all of my allowances, so I am going to cancel the contract in a few weeks when its due to finish.

So, just gone with Tesco Mobile, they have a sim only deal at the moment:

750 mins
5000 texts
500mb data (can get 1Gb for another £2.50 per month)
All for £12.50 a month / 12month contract

Vodacon can't get anywhere near that for me!
 
Been looking for sim only deals, found that 3 does a 15£ for 12months and you get 600mins/3000text/1gb net and theres also quidco for £88 so it ends up just under £9 a month which is really good.

I was going to get that, but then got offered an upgrade through Virgin and was just a £1 more expensive.
