SimCity V (2013) - screens/artwork and information

EA & Maxis are a damn joke! They should have done a beta beta before releasing this!

Wait 20 minutes to log in and then the game locks up instantly as soon as it opens. I can't even be bothered again, Don't think I'll buy this as I can tell the drm and stuff is going to drive me mental.
Wonderful isnt it, there's people out there who really want to give this a try, and then theres precious little souls like you who spit their dummy out because an unfinished product which they're putting out to a small beta to find bugs, assess server load for balancing, and stuff like that which happens with all games... and you give up, having denied other people the chance to have that key and do something to actually help. Its not a demo for goodness sake.
If everyone has the same selfish response as this, then when it does come to release day and their beta data turns out to be useless cos so many couldnt be bothered at the first sign of an issue, then its not going to be surprising if it turns out they're caught out, and you're already setting them up to be at fault for it, having refused to beta test after requesting entry and agreeing to help! Amazing.

Ok, so i just had an hours play of it. I didn't find a single bug whilst playing. I never really played the older simcity's but, this seems really good. I really enjoyed it.

I'll definitely be buying this at release, regardless of always connected play.

Played an hour this afternoon. It took a little getting used to the notion of everything having to snap to a road before you can plop it down. It also took me ages to find the trees!

Do we think there will be any tools to manipulate land height or add lakes/rivers?

It's very good though, and I really enjoyed it. Not sure I can stomach £64.99 though for the version i'd want. Decisions, decisions.

Got it going finally and I like. It look very nice. takes a bit of getting used to when compared to SC4 but its good fun. Seems very well thought and very detailed and immersive. No bugs to report so as long as they get their server infrastructure up to scratch for launch it should be good.

Not sure i could justify £64.99.......but we'll see. :D

Shame you only get an hour to play, doesn't really give you much to sink your teeth into. Having said that I do really like what I've seen of it and have definitely seen enough to convince me to get the game at launch, I can see this stealing so many hours of my life :).
