As title really.

I love all sorts of food, but sometimes, the simple dishes really shine.

One of my favourites is Grilled Salmon with steamed peas, carrots, and potato, with a bit of parsley sauce.

Dead easy, really tasty. :)

Over to you lot.

Where do you even start there must be loads, but I'll try:

Spag Bol
Chili (con carne) with garlic bread
Tuna bake
Sausages and macaroni cheese
Aubagine spaghetti
"whores" pasta - which someone posted on here many moons ago
Toad in the hole
Sausage and bean stew
Cashewnut rice
Breaded Turkey steak and jacket potato.
Satay meat and rice. Any kind of meat, usually pork belly though.
Home made kebabs, loads of different types.

Tonight's meal actually -

Lamb steak, new pots, carrots, runner beans, sugar snap peas, 2x yorkshires, gravy.

+Spag bol, chilli etc. Staple food.

And my work lunch of mackerel on brown. Every day, don't care.

a plate of chips with grated cheese on the side served with tommy K, its been my food of choice for 36 years of my 40 years on this planet, i can still remember eating this dish as a 4 year old after play school for lunch, sat inside my wigwam watching pebble mill @ 1 :o

I've started this, this year can of mackerel or sardines and a wholemeal roll. Brilliant lunch.

I lost over 2 stone from Sept to December eating it for lunch. Some days I had the chilli mackerel in a hot sweet & sour Mug Shot instead. So tasty and fulfilling! (Obviously eating other stuff too)

I love tescos terryaki one, but only had it once as it must be full of sugar.
Shame there's not more flavours.
Tomatoe, spicy tomatoe, chilli oil seems to be about it.
Sardines are the same bar there's a grilled one with just a bit of lemon.

The mackerel lunch sounds lovely, may have to try this at work!

Belly pork and veg is another favourite of mine. However I try not to have belly pork THAT offen, as its quite fatty.

Double fried egg and sausage sandwich. Breakfast/lunch/dinner/after-pub meal of kings.

Actually, just finished one with a can of beer. Now of to bed feeling like a king.

Noodles. Those cheap packets from supermarkets or oriental shops.

Don't bother with the flavoured satchet but then add vegetables and spices and some meat if available. So good, quick and easy. :)

My girlfriend can't understand why I love sandwiches so much. Granted she doesn't like bread, but still. I love them. They don't have to be particularly fancy, as long as there's a good meat (ham, chicken, tuna etc.) base in it, then plenty of mayo and heaps of salad then jobs a good'un. Can't go wrong. As long as there's mayo!! :D

If I didn't work somewhere where there's about 100+ places for lunch within a 5min stroll I'd happily bring sandwiches into work every day.
