SIMPLE meals you never get bored of

Stew (particularly beef or chicken)
Bread, meat and cheese (not as a sandwich, just a nice good quality bread roll or two, some nice cheddar and some good meats, like leftover roast beef/gammon)

Proper simple and quick - bung a pan of pasta on - meanwhile - fry off some mince - add some beef stock mixed with marmite - chuch in some herbs and I also bung in some Worcester sauce, pinches of garam masala, cumin and tumeric and a dash of tabasco - bring to the boil - sling in some cornflour to thicken, then serve over the pasta.

Pasta slop as it's called in this house. Quick, simple and really tasty :)

sausage, onion gravy and mash. cant beat it after a hard day at graft.

Also poached egg on wholemeal toast.

Where do you even start there must be loads, but I'll try:

Agreed.

Spag bol.
Macaroni cheese.
Homemade soup of any description - have it nearly every day for lunch during the colder months.
Lasagne.
Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (favourite breakfast).
Fresh mackerel fried in oatmeal with lashings of vinegar and brown bread with loads of butter.
Mince and tatties.
Stovies.

The list is huge but the above are the ones that spring easily to mind at 07:14 :p

"whores" pasta - which someone posted on here many moons ago

Is that Puttanesca? I heard on the telly that puttanesca was a dish that was originally made to be a quick and easy source of energy for Italian whores.

I can't remember what it's real name is, I just remember the translation.

Edit - quick google yes, that's the one.

In order of easiness:

Buttered toast
Cheese snackwiches
Fry up
Southern fried chicken + chips
Macaroni cheese

As much as I love making elaborate and tasty meals, Richmond pork sausages in white crusty bread with brown sauce is always a winner.
