Simple question?

Thanks for your reply. Would i be better off spending my money on an SSD and another 5850 in Crossfire?

SSD is a personal choice.

You'll probably see more benefit from spending £117 on another 5850 than £455 on an overclocked Sandybridge bundle.

Or if you were prepared to spend £455 then:

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 Extreme 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **OcUK Exclusive** £116.99

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM £156.98

Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £126.00 This Weekend Only

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £34.99

Best of both worlds and leaves you around £20 for a CPU cooler.

Or but the retail 2500K, with 3 year warranty, use the stock cooler and upgrade when you can.

Just gone with what you guys said. I have also ordered another case as mine is not very good cable management wise.

Do tell....

I hate ATI cards and drivers.

I want better/consistant minimum fps.

Some things on Nvidia cards like CUDA I do use, converting a huge video file in minutes rather than an hr is sometimes useful to me.

I just sold a GTX295 so done the SLI thing.

The guys price is keen:D

Now you've pointed it out everyone will be looking.

Perhaps all references to it should be expunged.

If it goes it goes, plus I have yet to make a "near offer" thats likely to get turned down because I do have a set max budget;)

If not a GTX570 is calling.

You haven't even got them yet!

I have one and ordered the other about ten minutes ago.

I have read the reviews on these cards and they spank other cards over twice the price in crossfire.

You can overclock them with Trixx to 900/1200 with ease.

I will tell you how i get on............But i know for £200 no cards will beat them ;)

I'm not knocking it, I have Crossfired cards myself.

It just amused me that you've become a Crossfire fanatic in the space of about an hour.

That is not the case. If you read my thread i asked what is the best way to go with what i have?

People advised me to get another 5850 and an SSD.

I have read the reviews on the Sapphire 5850 Xtreme and they blow all comers away for the price. They destroy other cards twice the price in xfire.

Yes i have become a fan ;)
