Simple recipe to try..

That sounds god aweful....how the hell could you eat that much ketchup, sugar overload.

Why don't you just make a normal chilli, takes like 15mins.

oh man, i thinik some people might be missing the point....
I can cook, chillis, curry's, traditional english things, lasagnes etc, but this idea was just a quick fix, i don't eat it everyday, i'd say more like once per month, i actually took it to work and reheated the mince and made the wraps there, a few people tried it and thought it was lovely, most people said it looked delicious but didn't try any...

also i've just made a some for myself and maybe the 1/2 cup of tommy k and 1/4 of brown sauce was a bit ambitious, more like 1/4 of tommy k and half tbsp of brown

heres a quick recipie for ya

3 eggs
45ml of milk
a knob of butter
pinch of salt and pepper
whisk
heat in a saucepan and keep stiring
put some bread in the toaster
butter the toast
place cooked product on freshly cooked toast
done

something quick and easy for anyone that doesnt taste of crap
scrambled

Surely instead of ketchup and brown sauce, using a tin of chopped tomatoes, and/or some pasata with some herbs, would be just as quick and likely taste better, especially if you're adding a myriad of hot sauces and chillis into the mix?

Sounds ok tbh, the soured cream will take away some of the harshness and tbh I would expect it to taste not too dissimilar to a fajita

Cup? How American.

randal24's 30 Minute SpagBol

500g steak mince
1 large onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 Oxo cube
1 tin chopped toms
Tomato puree
Oregano
Basil
Salt + Pepper
Mushrooms (if desired)

Dice onion, crush garlic, sweat off for a couple of mins. Add mince and Oxo cube, brown mince. Add chopped toms, healthy squirt of puree, herbs and pepper. Bring to boil, then turn down to a simmer. Cook for 20 mins, if adding mushrooms add in the last 5 mins of cooking, cook uncovered.

Serve with spaghetti, garlic bread. No ketchup.

if you have to add sour cream to something to try and detract away from all of the sugar and vinegar, id say you're doing it wrong.

While I admin that sour cream is a wonderful thing, I think it would taste even better without all the sugar and random sauces

Sour cream is often used as a balancing agent

balancing agent, why not, but in order to out balance all that sugar/vinger in red/brown sauce, youd nee a mountain of it ^^
