just a quicky,i used to play LOTRO and age of conan, those are the only mmorpg's i've played,so should i get WOW?
i'm going shopping in about to hours so convince me:D yay or nay?

ok i've just had 10 mins on the the 10 day trial thingy and i think i'm just gonna go buy it,could you reccomend me a server (world what ever)and char,i was thinking hunter?also should i go pvp?...god i'm a newb:rolleyes:

Blade's Edge, a brand spanking new PvE realm opened around two weeks ago. It's probably your best shot, unless you have friends on other realms who you want to play with/spunge boosts from.

Hunter is a fun and extremely easy first class to play, though you'll likely take a lot of stick from more experienced players for playing one.
I'd personally either go for either a rogue (melee), druid or shaman (hybrid) to whet your whistle. All fun classes, all fairly easy to level and, in the case of hybird classes, wont tie you down to a certain spec immediately (healing, dps, tanking).

Blade's Edge is on the worst battlegroup in Europe, I wouldn't consider rolling on any of the realms associated with that group until there is some concrete statement from Blizzard saying what they're going to do to fix it and by when, rather than the "we're looking into it" they have been posting since the BG's went live.

Decide if you want to be able to pvp in the world itself or if not go to a normal server. Hunters are farely good to play but i prefer to get in about the fight itself so I'm a warrior.

Once you get past lvl 20 you explore a lot more and lvling becomes easy! Read up on your character and see what stats are best for it. Hunters tend to stack loads of agility and attack power and intellect.

If you want to find it easy to get groups, I would advise picking a class that can tank (warrior/druid/paladin) or heal (priest/druid/paladin/shaman) as these are ALWAYS needed, if you're more a solo player then it doesn't matter quite so much. As has already been said, make sure you stick out whichever class you choose to at least lvl 20, as then you unlock a lot more abilities and it becomes more fun (especially with druid, the grind 10-20 is a nightmare, as soon as you get cat form, your levelling speed doubles)

I'm still stuck on Sunstrider because of friends and I ****ing hate it.

Think we're gonna migrate when Lich King is out though, I'd like a new PvP realm but friends are gonna stick with current chars I think.

I migrated from SS with my hunter an lvled a new rogue since I sold Tyr ages ago. I dont see anyone familiar on SS anymore though. :(

Started a druid on Laughing Skull PVP realm, got to lvl 6 so far but i aint got any cash for training new skills:(still not 100% yet on whether to buy it yet but i have another 8 days to decide:)
Is the streaming trial version exactly the same as the retail version?i.e graphics etc?

Some people on Alliance I think, I play Horde though and pretty much nobody I recognize. :)

Most people I recognize from Shattered Halls as my old guild xferr'd to SS (they must have been mad).
