Friday practice - selected team and driver quotes

60% chance of a wet race on a street track at night that hasn't seen it before. At least three, maybe four, potentially winning cars. Five drivers in championship contention, all claiming to have a decent car for the track. Very little to choose between them. This ought to be rather tasty.

For some reason no one has done an in-depth weather review which is a shame. Or at least I can;'t find one. As that would tell us when the rain is most likely.

Its just rumour afaik, but apparently Ferrari are chasing Kubica for a drive with Alonso? I just have loads of F1 feeds linked on my iGoogle, its mostly crap mind but hey!

I would sudgest looking at the TAF for the Changi International Airport. A TAF basicly gives information on what the weather will do during the next 3hrs. Since the airport is not that far away from the city, it can provide an insight as to what weather will be about. WSSS is the ICAO number for changi, search for WSSS metar & TAF and it will tell you what the current and futre weather is like for the airport.
Its just an idea but worth a try.

It would certainly be interesting to see how Kubica fares at a team like Ferrari. It's hard to judge to what extent his performance this season has been flattered by his teammate.

Massa signed a new deal, unless Massa has suddenly decided to go elsewhere. Can't see why Kubica would want and be happy as a no2 anymore than Massa. Then again Kubica is more desperate for a decent car.

I seriously can't believe Heidfeld has got a job again. Motorsport must be lacking talent for this plodder to yet again come back from the wilderness.

Really looking forward to this - hopeful of a decent race (esppecially if the bumps have been eradicated as much as its being claimed)

I think its too early for Kubica to go to Ferrari - I think he is good enough, I just think anyone with serious talent like he has would be threatened and bullied by Alonso within the team, plus ferrari prefer running one title challenging car rather than two. Kubica should stay at Renault for another season or so, while its not a title winning car, he is getting decent experience at leading a team at the right end of the grid - which wont do him any harm at all
