It's quite an extraordinary season. Rosberg has only beaten Hamilton in 3 races where they both finished and yet leads by 22 points. Of those 3, in one Hamilton had a technical failure in quali, in another Rosberg (deliberately or not) impeded Hamilton's lap in quali and in the third, Hamilton threw away his chances in quali with silly mistakes. One of the biggest surprises for me this season is how little gap is between then in qualifying, forgetting the time hamilton made a mistake aborting a lap Rosberg has been much closer than I ever thought he would. Now people would rightly point to Rosberg making a mistake under pressure in the race, but Hamilton continues to make them in qualifying, which is surprising when he's natural ability especially to be quick on colder tyres is usually so good. Is he feeling the pressure that much to get pole from Rosberg that he's making mistakes?

I don't feel he needs to worry as much about pole, even from 2nd over a race distance he will easily beat Rosberg. Rosberg in contrast should play the percentages, go for 2nd save the car and watch what happens with reliability. That will decide this title now anyway. I think he will over do it tomorrow again and DNF.
 
Just watched qualis on iplayer. What an incredible chain of events in the final seconds of Q3. First Ricciardo getting into the 1.45's and seemingly on pole, followed immediately by Rosberg snatching the pole away, followed immediately by Lewis taking pole. Absolutely stonking Q3! Get in Lewis! :)
 
Good Morning. I share Ricciardos optimism today.. i really think a red bull will win today. They just beast this type of track especially on long runs, and their strategists are usually fantastic.
 
I don't think red bull will win without a good bit of luck. I don't see the mercedes pulling too far ahead though this time. I can see the mercedes being split - Hamilton certainly needs this.

The Hamilton haters don't care how he's beaten, as long as he's beaten. It's interesting that the opposite is rarely the case with the Hamilton supporters, probably because they know that, in a totally straight fight where reliability isn't an issue, he'll get the better of Rosberg :p
