Nothing exotic...looking at things like the WD or Seagate 1tb or 2tb drives. I want something really simple to Cat 5 into my router that can be accessed from all the wireless computers in the house so people can backup documents.

Reading things it looks as simple as that and although I won't need anything like that amount of storage for documents and maybe some MP3s it seems a shame not to.

Is it as simple ? ;)

I've got the Seagate 2TB and it's simple to setup.
I can also access it from anywhere in the world and I've set several people up to access it.
However, if you're only uploading & accessing documents why not use something like Google Drive or similar?

Cheers :)

I just started doing that as well actually. It works well doesn't it ? And of course you can access docs from any computer attached to the internet... Ilike it.

But I wanted something in the house as well in case access fails and the Seagate looks as good as any :D
