Wow. just got this today, Slick interface or what, lol, Ingame XBM also - a 1st and hopefully other games take note. Tons to do and watch others online, some nutter video's, lol.... must dash, final note - very slick and great online interface - something the xbox360 actually couldn't do for a change.

From the adverts it looks like a great party game.
Not something i'd ever play unless under the influence.

Yea ive never played Singstar does it involve shouting down a mic at certain intervals, similar to GH???

Sweet on ingame XMB! Hopefully more games will implement it now!

Is this the same startup XMB that's in the game or some cut-down version of it? I saw on t'Internet that it could turn in to an unholy mess if dev's start putting their own "version" of the XMB in game.

Are the mic's wireless or wired ? - if they are wired how long are the cables ?.

I don't think its a question of "why can't they?", more specifically "why would they need to?".

As for in game XMB im sure i read that its readily available to the devs but it comes at the cost of using more memory. Games like Singstar should be able to cope with this I'd have thought.

I have had this on pre order since about july, its on route, i cant wait, my ps3 is turning into somewhat of a party console in the house, 2 guitars for guitar hero 3, rock band on its way, singstar - its finally coming alive

So why wouldn't a 360 gamer like this game ?

Singstar is a big selling franchise - something similar on the 360 would sell well too.

Singstar is great for parties - like the Wii it seems to be the one thing everyone wants to play once they've had a bit to drink.

Am I right in thinking there is a singstar store where you upload videos etc? Don't you have playstation eye?

Can I see the videos of you singing making a fool of yourself

, or is this site integrated into the game (ie cant be soon on the www througha normal web browser).

This is THE game my wife bought a Ps2 for and the one she wants a PS3 for. Perhaps someone can tell me, what are the benefits of a Blu ray disc in this game? Do you get more songs than just buying a ps2 version?

I've also heard wireless mics are not coming til mid 08, is that true?

From what I understand the improvements to the ps3 version are more to do with the online component, where you can upload your clips (think youtube meets x-factor-meets-idiots with a mic

), download new tracks etc, I am assuming the ps2 version will be through addon disks. I believe for a "small" fee you will also be able to buy all 350 previously released sinsgtar songs.

I believe if you go to the 02 centre this week they have some sound proof booths that you can mess around in for free and check it out (if you live in London, or care that much ).

yeah you can upload clips, save clips and audio to the hard drive, download new songs ect

its good fun
