Not tried it yet but i would think that the PS3 version sits in the memory and just adds the PS2 disks as extra tunes, im sure with the other PS2 singstars the first game loaded up was the basis of all the gameplay.
 
Great news as our local game exchange has a lot of these disks going cheap. With the PS2 disks, do they still come with the videos the same as the PS3 versions ?
