Tried it today and not very impressed, no story or single player campaign, I hate the jump lanes and the pirates, the area around each planet is patheticly small.

Meh, I'll go and play homeworld online, much better then this tripe.

It's a good game, seems to require thinking instead of huge armies. It's very true about the hardware requirements, I'm running it windowed 1024 on an xp1800+, 1gb ram and fx5200. I was actually running it in 1680x1050 beforehand, but running it fullscreen seems to cause it to almost to grind to a halt on any sort of menu - making research nigh on impossible, although it's fine in normal play . I guess it's a bug because as soon as you window it it runs well - provided you don't zoom in on a planet or a fleet as the fps will just plummet. But you can play it perfectly happily, you only need to zoom in for eyecandy!

(I havn't tried it on any decent size map yet mind).

Won't zoom with my touchpad on the laptop so going to have to wait until I get back to uni for a mouse, apart from that it's quite good yes I'm enjoying it, well spotted :)

That's a bad way of punishing the creators of the game. The fault is on the publishers! :)

I will prefer to have the box and all but I think I will get it next month :)

So you're going to punish the developers because of the publishers?

Nice you screw the developers , the publishers also screw the developers :o

So, how do you propose that I purchase it without an accepted payment method then? Pay for a return air ticket to America, go to the nearest applicable game store and then return on a flight later the same day?

There are virtual cards online which you can top up from a bank account. Paypal can be topped up from a bank account.

I'm having zero frame rate issues btw.

512mb X1950, E6850 @ Stock. 4gb RAM.

Running at 1440x900 (Monitors Native) and even with lots of ships it's smooth as a babys behind!
