Sitcom Recommendations

I've still yet to get past the first episode of parks and rec, tried watching it 3 times now but my brain won't let me enjoy it, something about the main actress annoys me

If you like Community try Parks and Recreation as well, it seems to attract people with the same sense of humour. From what I've heard it gets a lot better after the first season (only watched that one myself and it's pretty good).
Watch it :) I watch a lot of current tv but i like to have an older show which has finished airing so i can just watch an episode whenever i want, rather than one a week :)

I was a little dubious at first, just watch a few more episodes and you'll realise the show is about so much more than her, and you'll learn to love her too!

It's always sunny in philadelphia
Happy endings
Workaholics*
Community
Eastbound & Down
The league
Modern family

* quite simply, amazing

See, now I love everything in that list apart from Workaholics, I think it's terrible, the character are annoying and it just seems to try too hard.

Adding Party Down to the list.

New Girl which is out at the moment is pretty good i find

Only seen the pilot, and I liked every thing about it APART from Zooey, which kinda scuppers the whole premise of the show.

Zooey annoys me SO much, in anything she does.

Please do Arrested Development!

I went through all the ones I hadn't seen in a week over Christmas annoying all of my family as it made me laugh a lot and loudly!

Try Big Bang Theory, that's pretty funny.

Oh no hang on, my mistake... it's literally the worst program on TV.

Ah, thank you!

I think the best American sitcoms are Modern Family, Arrested Development, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I grew up with Friends and so like that but feel ashamed to admit it.

Best sitcom of all time is The Office but British sitcoms are quite different to American ones. Fawlty Towers is also brilliant.

It sounds like your sense of humour is more a dry/darker vararity which The Big Bang Theory isn't.

Seinfeld would be right up your street i think.

New girl is good to watch with the misses (if you have one) and besides Zooey is HAWT!

I've seen bits of it and it does look good. Zooey Deschanel is amazingly good looking. All the little adverts that have been on, I can just stare at her for ages. I have been known to pause the TV and stare into her eyes for a few minutes.

I've tried watching Seinfeld but haven't got into it. I know I should. Sky Atlantic are starting to show episodes starting from the first one in 15 minutes. I'll give it a watch.

I must admit, when I first heard about 'The Big Bang Theory', I instantly opposed it. I had only seen it in short bursts and hated it. Recently, they've been showing the older episodes in the mornings on Channel 4 and I've found the "geek banter" really funny.

The newer episodes that are on E4 are terrible though.

I gave new girl a watch when it first came out in the states, watched the pilot and vowed never to watch it again.

However, one of my friends recommended it so gave it another try and caught up with 7 or 8 episodes, now I'm loving it. Zooey, is soooooooo nice, but cece, well, god damn!

A many other have said It's always sunny in philadelphia is a given, I would recommend Parks and Recreation, it get's brilliant after the first season and just keeps getting better.
