Yeah definately, I regularly skate the big (sewer) pool (half pipe thing) as well :)

Getting smacked by a car when you cross the street is a poop your pants moment the first time it happens... you just don't expect it.

Skate...skate..skate... kickflip.... oooh whats over there?... SCREEACH! CRASH.... ow.... new underwear please :o

I have been in the sewers but have been away for the last week so wasn't even aware that you could go elsewhere. I think I might leave it until the full game is out. I probably won't play the demo again until then.

Theres a bug that lets you (extremely easily) jump through the fence and get out into the real world.

However, your very limited... you can travel roughly one or two streets in any direction before it freezes.

You get a decent idea of the surrounding area, there's basketball courts, a proper sewer network, a huge half pipe, some back gardens with decent lines etc...

It freezes a lot though if you travel too far away, but if you stay close you can easily play the entire demo time outside the allotted area.

Sure...


9 times out of 10 it works first try.

Sometimes it doesn't quite work and you end up floating in a black void for about 20-30 seconds.

If it works, you'll see the loading screen for a second or two and you'll fall on your arse outside :)

If you want to get back inside, you'll need to use the session markers and save one inside the demo area.
 
it's worth trying out the hospital, when you get out, turn right, go straight on at the crossroads, go down the hill and it's on the left hand side, some huge gaps and big rails to session on.
 
just managed to grab this myself, as an ex skater its a breath of fresh air from tony hawks, i wont bang on about the game as you all know yourselves, buying on release, which is unusual for me
 
Well I got outside after 10 mins of trying last night, skated around the demo away so it didn't freeze, I never went more than 10 meteres from the outside of demo area and it still froze.
 
Just installing the PS3 demo, ill give it a wiz and see if its any better/worse than the 360 version.

Ill be getting the 360 version for the achievements!

Just had a go of the PS3 demo....

It was bad!

Absolutely no Anti-Aliasing at all, framerate went iffy at times, Absolutely no Anistrophic filtering also, the main kicker with graffiti on it is just a blur up until when your actually riding on it.

Poor, very poor. Ill get some comparison pics.

Very strange :confused:

I've heard this about a lot of cross platform games so far.

Most have been EA games... not sure if that has something to do with it?
 
The only good points about the PS3 version was the sound and the controller. I found the controller easier to execute harder tricks as the sticks arnt as stiff as the 360 controller.

Got some comparison pics. Had to go out of focus on my camera a tiny pic to stop getting lines across the screen.

Ill have a PS3 shot then followed by a 360 shot.

Thats the worst comparison i've seen yet for PS3 to 360 (The Darkness had the record before this) Honestly the PS3 users get the demo weeks after 360 (and even then its US), the release date is weeks later than 360 and it runs worse than 360! talk about getting kicked repeatedly in the unmentionables :eek:
 
ooof nasty :(

Just had a wee skate before bed (up at 6.30 yay) and had some great laffs :)

Highlights:

-Coffin Backflip with the dodgiest looking landing of all time

-Double Kickflip in, fs 50-50, nollie double kickflip out ! (was chuffed with that)

-New PB Line score of 12, 539 inc. a lovely 5.5k in the bowl :D

Cannot wait for next week :>
