Well got home from work and mine was done
First impressions were OMG this is great but damn challenging, every trick feels so satisfying. Just something simple like a 360 heelflip down a stair set which i could do blindfolded on tony hawk becomes immensely satisying on Skate. Loving the low down view, really suits the game. Manuals are pretty hard to pull off, your thumb really has to be perfectly in control. Line system works really well. Controls just feel really tight, takes a while to get used to but once you have it feels very fluid. The area in the demo is very generous, i was expecting about 1/4 the play area, and theres a bit of everything, stair sets, rails, bowls, kickers, QP's you name it.
Negatives of the demo are some of the stuff you take for granted with THPS, so theres no flatland tricks (other than manual obviously) theres no inverts as far as i can see, although you can do stalls. No boneless, no comply or anything like that. Video editor was very good, but not as good as the one that will be in THPG, i wish you could have a free camera in the video editor but you can only select from preset ones.
Overall im very impressed by the demo and this remains one of my most wanted games of the year. Pre order placed. Only thing is are they committing commercial suicide by releasing 5 days before halo 3?
