Been a couple of times years ago. The town is rubbish but we were there for 18-30s reunion in Butlins so spent the whole weekend hammered. Was a good laugh

As someone who escaped from Boston I can confirm the whole area is a **** hole. Skegness is disappointment and violence with a crap beach

Skegness, Boston, Holbeach......all the same.

In Spalding there was a real danger that if you went down to one of the awful night clubs at the weekend and pulled a girl, it could turn out to be a relative!

Got talked into spending a night there by the GF as she used to go when she was younger. I can only echo what everyone else has said. I have a fond memory of being witness to two parents who were fairly drunk verbally abusing their children. Also saw a woman with a court issued anklet.

Stayed in the Royal Hotel which is a lovely short-term retirement home.

Overall, 1.5/10, stay drunk as you can.
