ski/snowboarding!

Burton Se7en for me :D

and whilst we're talking snowboarding it really is better than skiing isn't it ;)

*can of worms*

Leave now. :p

Meh, the only reason I won't go snowboarding is because I've been skiing a fair few times (6/7) so learning again would be a step backwards and I'm loving every second I get on the slopes, don't want to spend most of the time on my bum all over again. I would like to try it someday though.

Will be heading to Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, A-Basin, Loveland and Copper Mountain in April \o/.

Can't wait, though I need to get into training for it.

Jokester

Good selection, just skip out vail...;)

I will be making do with swiss and french resorts (although I will be in austria next week).

i've heard mixed reports about Vail...
US resorts have all the snow but dont you always miss a good bar after a long day? Certainly in Steamboat they only seem to have bar restaurants. and also what are those pool rules about?!

Many US resorts have great bar life. But you need to be picky. The whole resort thing doesn't really exist in the US. Most of the people that ski the resort live in nearby towns. E.g. a mjority of colorado skiers live in the Denver-Boulder meterpolitan area. But a resort like Mammoth ,mountain whihc is 6-8 hours drive from the bay area or LA has a real resort atmosphere and great bars.
