That was only the first batch of skittles I put in there.

I put more in once they had dissolved. I actually cleared out my local shop of skittles. Resorted to buy the little 10p packets haha.

My glacier mints have completely dissolved now. I would post a pic but its just transparent and the thick syrupy layer at the bottom is barely visible. When i tip the bottle upside down, there are lots of stringy bits of the think stuff, it kinda looks nice, but i think im gonig to have to filter it off! Tastes basically like hot glacier mints in liquid form...

Im thinking about putting some XXX mints in there as well, i have broken one into 4 pieces and dropped them in to find out if they dissolve..

I had a bash at making Skittles Vodka a couple of months back. Needless to say it was consumed before i had a chance (physically) to take a photo. It really is good stuff.

Kudos to the poster who made differnt individual flavours!

Tip: I used a tshirt to strain all the scum off of the top. It was an unused freebee shirt so it wasnt that bad.

DONT FILTER IT OFF!

its just sugary syrup, like what you get when you have sugary dilute drinks like hi-juice, just shake it up a bit and let it stay. keeps the sweetness

is it possible to filter syrup through a coffee filter?

You are right, after shaking it up for a second it sort of disappears, then settles at the bottom again after a while. I will leave it like that, all i need to do is shake the bottle before drinking.

Oh, and XXX mints take a LONG time to dissolve.

Right! I've just got back from Asdal! I have:

3 x massive bags of skittles. £1 each - rollback! get 'em while you can
2 x 0.7l bottles of smart price vodka. £6 each, and I bet it's nasty pre-skittled
6 x 380ml bottles of lucozade - A good hangover cure, but I'm going to use the bottles to do individual flavours.
1 x 2l bottle of smart price lemonade - i'm just going to use the bottle to kep the lucozade in, as smart price lemonade is rank.

1.4l / 5 flavours = 280ml, so there will be plenty of room for skittles.

If only I had a colour printer, I could put these labels on the bottles:

I've got 540g of skittles in total... this should be enough, shouldn't it?

Good isn't it... I can't take credit for it tho, I found it on one of the many sites about it.

I've got my vodka in the lucozade bottles now, now i need to sort out half a kilo of skittles into their own colours. Luckily I have an assistant so it shouldn't take too long.

Also for those cheap people like me, you can use tea backs as filters (take the leaves out first though...)

Too late!

That smart price vodka is well nasty pre-skittled, but quite tasty after. It still needs a mixer IMO tho (smart price lemonade).

Complete waste of time, don't even try this... they just turn into a disgusting spongy mess

Glacier Mints vodka is ok, apart from the after taste it leaves. I wouldn't recommend it.

Tomorrow i will try to locate some Skittles Sours...

Hmm forgot i had a bottle of Smirnoff triple distilled downstairs, so bought 2 of the small packs of skittles (55g) and took the green ones out and popped them in. The bottle already had some vodka gone, more than 3/4s of the bottle was still left. Will i need more skittles? I want this to taste VERY skittlesy (sp?).
Ive shook it a couple of times and the mix has gone a reddish colour and the skittles white, do i need to keep shaking the bottle every so often or will they all dissolve over time?
