Skoda Superb III 4x4 280 - A sleeper’s journey – 280ps to 560ps

A true wolf in sheep's clothing.... You're a very naughty person lol....

What cars have you upset?

Don't know how I missed this thread, but totally awesome.

Makes me wonder how the Golf R would go with similar modifications as I think they are using same 2l engine as with 370PS on unicorn map and DSG map it ran 11.7@119mph with LC and 12.2@117mph without LC.

But this is the ultimate sleeper and those TDI badges on the rear just to really rub salt into the wounds. :D

That 2l engine that VW have developed is very special indeed, it seems to be so easy to extract crazy power out of it!

Yes it is very good, stock engine, stock turbo is good for 400HP and its not a lag machine at all, my Golf R was super impressive and all it had was a catted downpipe and remap for 370PS. An intercooler would push that close to 400PS, much beyond that your talking hybrid turbo and they tend to push them to around 470HP on stock internals, 500+ is forged rebuild as per as the OP has done, but they really drive great and with the DSG and haldex makes them ferociously quick cars, supercar quick! :)

Bilstein B14 height adjustable coilovers installed!
Car handling much better and ride is still very smooth and compliant.
Very happy with the result.

This thread is phenomenal, almost as much so as the build itself. Any estimate as to the costs involved? Some seriously high end stuff going into it from the looks of it. Don't worry, I'm not asking so I can plague with the normal babble about the fact you could have bought a faster car than yours is now for the money you've spent...this route is far more interesting.

Since they are part of the VAG group, I would expect it to have a very similar look and feel to other VAG products!

Came across a Seat Cupra R, the fast one at Pod other weekend, it was running high 10s passes.#

Spoke with the owner, he has done similar to you, running 560PS, he also put the AWD rear-end in the car from the Golf R / S3 to make it AWD and was running it on Michelin Cup 2's, seriously quick bit of kit that looked completely stock, even under the bonnet looked pretty much factory.
