Skoda Superb III 4x4 280 - A sleeper’s journey – 280ps to 560ps

The only thing I'm not a huge fan of (in this particular instance) is the Pro Race 1.2 wheels. But they are just the winter set right? :)

No, sold the original wheels, far too heavy. These are the Summer wheels for the drag strip and road (with semi slicks). I have another set of 3rd party wheels with Winter tyres for when it gets cold.
And a third set of, budget, alloys with summer tyres just for the dyno (will have to be used for many days when the new turbo is installed) as both the semi-slicks and winter tyres are too soft for repeated dyno runs.

It's all about functionality. If I wanted looks I could have gone with 19/20 inch alloys and slammed suspension but this is not what this car is about.

I do very much appreciate all comments and opinions, it is things that I also considered many times during the last year!

Read for Santa Pod tomorrow!

Lost a bet and now I have to use this :D

Trivia fact : Superb 280 insurance group for my L&K is only 28 (27 for the SE L executive and 29 for the Sportline)
compared to 34 for the Golf R and 36 for the S3 and Cupra R.

This is madness! Would be interested to get a breakdown of the different stages and costs as I would genuinely look into this in a few years...

Give Will at VRS Northampton a call and tell him the owner of the crazy Skoda Superb sent you. He will give you all info you need on cost etc. :)

And 25 years ago you could have a 500bhp cossie no problem, it wasn't cheap but then neither is this.

One difference is that you would have to rebuild the cossie to do 500 and at the end it would not be the best daily car.

The EA888 gen 3 engine can do 500 easily with standard internals and it still keeps the characteristics of a daily car.

any more details or pics of your exhaust system?
I've got a bit of a drone and wouldn't mind switching exhausts

It is a fully custom exhaust from RS Fabrications. Sounds great IMHO, much deeper sound than anything else I heard on this engine type.
