Sky Atlantic

Not a bad idea that, since i've got one of the newer smaller HD boxes i'm hoping it will take a 1 - 1.5tb drive, we shall see!

Check but I think your OK. I had to change the PSU on our Thomson box and changed the HD to a 500 while it was apart - all very easy stuff.

The old boxes will only use 500 so if you put in a 1TB it will still only use 500. The new ones I think will use whatever is in there but best to check.

Boardwalk Empire does look good. Never watched Sopranos.

Is broadwalk Empire a new series or had it been shown in the Uk before ? So gutted I aint got sky this series looks good !!!

It's a US show, just like the rest on this channel.

The season has already finished in the US and you won't be disappointed trust me :D

Steve Buscemi in a lead role, what more can you ask for! :)

Yep 108, Buscemi and Scorcese, just those two names ensure I am going to like it. Don't forget too that Blue Bloods with tom seleck and mark wahlberg starts tonight too, looks good too, kind of looks like a cross between law and order and hill street blues :)

Apparently Boardwalk Empire cost £11m for the first episode . Some very successful films have been made for a similar price. I can't wait :D

Thoroughly enjoyed the first episode of Boardwalk Empire and really enjoying the first episode of Blue Bloods so far. Initial impressions so far are that this will indeed quickly become a favourite channel of mine :D

it is a good channel but the amount of ads is a joke...i hope its just a new thing and not something permenant as it certainly wont be replacing my boxsets/downloads if thats the case!

I found it had about the amount of ads I'm used to, I dont have any of the shows boxsets so not an issue for me :)

Thoroughly enjoyed Blue Bloods and Boardwalk Empire tonight, still so many good shows to come yet , cant wait for Game of Thrones :)

The ads are really annoying and do go against the HBO ethos somewhat - particularly as Blackberry seem to have sponsored the channel to death.

Boardwalk Empire was pretty good and engaging, but I didn't really think Blue Bloods was that good. It just seemed a bit generic - and all the 'oh what a coincidence, my dad and sister are both involved in this case too' stuff was a bit lame.

Glad there's more new Boardwalk tonight, but it'll definitely be a Sky+ job from now on due to the ads.

I dont mind the ads, gives me a moment to nip out to the toilet or the kitchen to grab some food or jump quickly over to check the football scores :)

Really liked Boardwalk Empire, really liked Blue Bloods too, I can understand the everyone being involved thing as its a way to introduce all the characters in the first episode. I also liked that it was a little more gritty and it reminded me a fair bit of Hill Street Blues, which was a show I loved.

Throw in The Sopranos , The Wire, Six Feet Under and Game of Thrones all yet to come and its definitely going to be my top channel for a while (plus whatever future HBO blockbusters which will all no doubt be showing on Atlantic first)
