Sky BB any good ?

been waiting nearly a week now for the cof letter and router but thats to be expected with the Christmas holl's and everything. Going to be moving from Nilldram which I think i'm paying about £28 for so a good saving of £18 if sky work out ok, plus I should be getting faster speeds.

Thinking about moving the telephone over to them as well on this sky talk service, anyone using skytalk and know if it's value for money? I suppose theres BT's line rental ontop of sky talks £5 a month as well ?

just move over to an enta reseller ie aquiss, adsl24, ect ect or if you can see if you can get BE broadband!

Free Sky BB sucks, it has a stupid small ammount of bandwidth.

from dslzone uk its worked out i can recieve upto 20mbs so sky 16mb llu should be pretty good for me once i migrate at the end or next month to them! only live like 850meters from the exchange.

£40 one off fee if you go for the free montly internet with 2 meg D/L.

£20 one off fee if you go for the 40 meg pacjage which costs £5 a month

No one off fee if you go for the full package costing £10 a month.

I'm on the £17 package, £40 is for the router, you can pay extra for them to install but to be honest it's not tough, even I managed it!

Having a few problems downloading via BitTorrent at the moment but I think that's some router settings I've yet to tweak. Normal linespeed seems very good, getting 6.5meg ave speed and downloads from websites at around 600kb/s which is nice.
