Sky F&F deal on again

Is there any way yet to upgrade from an old box to a new one without having to take out a multiroom sub or pay an absolute fortune for the damn thing?

The boxes are only worth a max of £40-50 on ebay (DRX890's, was the latest box 6 months ago, probably still is).

Is this not just a way to get loads of vouchers for the OP?

It's true that I get £20 in M&S vouchers for every two people that sign up before a certain date but more people have signed up than I've got vouchers. I thought it would be nice to offer forum members a discount. Should a moderator tell me I can't, I won't.

This is a different deal in that its for sky staff members to introduce friends and family with a half price deal for 12 months. The current customer offer for introducing a friend is £75 I vouchers each. This is by far a better deal if you're going to take a high cost package.

Its 12 months half price on this deal...although the 75 vouchers does mitigate that somewhat.

Its still a good deal though

£75 wouldn't even pay the difference for 2 months on a full monty package setup.

im paying £65 a month on f and f and without it, i would be paying £110.

that's a saving of £45 per month for 12 months = £540.

i don't think i would want a £75 m and s voucher instead, especially since m and s food is usually 2-3 times the price for the same thing in asda.

Good point, i only have TV (i am not in a Sky LLU or FTTC area) so the savings are not massive massive, but still absolutely worth having :)

Sorry, missed this.

We currently have pretty much the full package. Have for about 10 years too.

In which case I would see what you'll be offered if you pohone to reduce your package. Consider taking off Sports AND Movies and see what they say. 'I don't have much time to sit in front of the TV so what time I do have is precious but the box is nearly full up with the kids programs and the wife's that there isn;t really enough space on it for all the movies I want to watch. The rest of the family don't really watch the movies and I'm the only sports fan but my work pattern has changed so I don;t get as much chance to watch the sports as I used to so I figured I could join Lovefilm for less, get a couple of Blu-Rays a week and still be better off'
