Sky Friends and Family deal thread! Now with, er NOW deals!

Hi @MissChief
I'm moving into a rental property on the 11th Nov. I'm interested in a code (assuming you have any left), but the agreement is only for 12 months and I don't want to stay any longer. I think the deals are for 18month min. have you got anything for 12months?

Cheers
Sadly not, it’s all 18 months these days. Thought about Sky Stream? I think you can take that monthly?

@MissChief

I don't suppose you have any codes at the moment? I believe I got one from your many years ago when we first signed up for Sky TV.

Given notice of cancellation as we're moving home but my partner will be signing up as a new customer. Will it matter if the bank account details are the same as it's a joint account or is it best to to come from a new account.

At the moment we're paying £30 for Sky Q, signature, kids and HD.

Thanks
I do have codes. Start a conversation and from a new account would be best just in case.

Options for Grandmother
@MissChief
My Grandmother recently moved into serviced flats. Unfortunately the side she lives on cant get sky. Engineer cant even tap into the communal system.
Shes a Sky BB customer and I think still paying for TV which is up for renewal in December. The options seem to be Sky Stream or Sky Glass.
Any discounts available or other options. She's 87 so were not keen on moving to a totally new system (now TV etc)

Cheers
Sadly I don't have anything for Glass or Stream although I've heard the black Friday Stream offer is quite good?

Help required...
Rejoined the forum as cant find my details and after some help please...

just cancelled sky q as wasnt really offered too much despite paying £86+ for the £73 package...:0(

What is the best way going forward - wait for a call back or let it cancel and sign up again.

I appreciate i cant ask for a code as i have only just rejoined.

Much appreciated
You should get a call from the real retentions team during your notice period. Hold out for this.

@MissChief

Evening, quick question hopefully!

Inlaws have a sky+HD box, I was over at Xmas and it is on its way out. Some of the remote buttons don't work and the box itself randomly freezes.

I'd like to get them on sky q and also add multi room. They don't want to be without sky so cancelling and waiting for a retention offer won't work for them, what's the best way to get this sorted for them?

Ta!
Phone and speak to cancellations anyway, they'll offer a Q box almost immediately I'd say. They might also have a VIP offer on their mysky app too

Hi @MissChief

I’m thinking of canning all my now tv subscriptions and moving to sky stream. I’m getting a quote for £66.50 month and £99 upfront for:

Stream standard (£26)
Sports (£20)
UHD (£6)
No Ads (£2.50)
Whole Home (£12)
3 pucks (£79.90) one off

2 questions if you don’t mind?

1) I assume that‘s 1 box plus 3 pucks (want to use 4 TVs)?
2) As a never before sky member is that the best I can do more or less?

Muchas gracias
I really have no clue whatsoever about Sky Stream, it's a product that launched after I'd left the domestic side. All I can say is my discount codes don't work on Stream or Glass.

@MissChief Could you confirm if Ultrafast plus and Gigafast are covered by the 35% discount in tv and bb deal?
Looks to me like its only the superfast running at 60m/b thats covered but wanted to double check.

Also are my maths right here:
tv and superfast bb pack for £43 after the 35% it would be roughly £28 and then possible £100 cashback making it around £22/month. Or do the cashback and friends and family not stack?
I don’t think the discount is 35% on broadband but it does give a discount. Having said that someone else, @jrwagh333 maybe, said that the normal customer offer works out cheaper at the moment.

Hi Misschief

My sky deal comes to an end next month and they want an extra £30pm

My package is SkyQ
Sky Cinema
Sky HD
Sky Kids
Sky Signature
Ultimate TV addon
Multiscreen as I have two mini boxes
Ultra HD

I pay £65pm and next month they want £93.

Any better deals, please?

Related to this we also have sky superfast broadband and anytime calls in my wifes name. This is now out of contract and we have gone from £50pm to £57. Any way to get a better deal? HAppy to lose landline

Thanks in advance
I only have deals for new customers I’m afraid. Your wife having the broadband does complicate matters. Call and speak to them and if you’re not happy then actually put in your cancellation.

Hi @MissChief, wondering if you can help, my mum has cancelled Sky TV, the cancellation date is couple of weeks from now. She still has broadband contracted until end of May.

Once her TV is cancelled would she be eligible for new/returning customer offers or would the fact she still has broadband with Sky not classify her as new for TV?

Thanks in advance.
Sadly it's 12 months to be classed as a new customer. Give them a call back and ask to speak to retentions again and see what they can do.

Hey @MissChief , got and used a code from you around 12 months ago for my parents.

They are at the end of their contract for TV and BB and even though I have got an email to say prices are not going to go up, I have checked the future bills and they are.

Am I able to renegotiate online? Or start fresh using a F&F code? Not sure how it works form this position.
Theoretically they can’t reuse a new F&F code as they wouldn’t be new customers. you might get an option to chat online if they login and go through the help section and choose to cancel.
