Sky Friends and Family deal thread! Now with, er NOW deals!

My parents package is up end of next month. Am I able to cancel online and then wait for offers? Or am I best to speak to online chat saying I am thinking of canceling?

Also, do I have to make sure I have marketing calls allowed? I know I had to for Virgin otherwise they wouldn't call with any offers.
Without marketing calls allowed you would need to initiate any contact. You can go online and see if messaging or chat is available.

Did you get a chance with this? It's not a problem if this is a hassle for you, I'll just go for the half price deal and revisit it in 6 months.

I'll order later tonight if you haven't posted back - and please be assured it's no problem at all if you've got other things to do :)
OK, I have for new NOW customers
Ent+Cinema £12pm for 6 months plus a months free boost.

Ent only for £6 for 6 months, 1 month free boost.

Cinema only for £6pm for 6 months. 1 month free boost

Sports only for £21pm for 6 months, 1 month free boost again.

I have the same deal for existing NOW customers too.

I'll be hopefully moving soon so thinking about Sky, broadband etc.

Potentially even thinking of dropping Sky and the TV license since we don't actually watch anything except CBeebies for the children and then Netflix and Disney for everything else.

Can you send me some deals for Sky/Netflix + Broadband, or just Broadband deals please?

I'll be a new customer for any service.
Start a conversation with me please.

Looking at moving to sky.

Question about sky stream

Im on virgin currently so have stuff all set up as a series link and just go to the recording.

something like the f1, it records all the practice sessions, quali and race etc and I can just watch when I need
Does sky stream do something similar?
Stream doesn't record anything locally, everything is streamed but you can usually pick up most major channels, in fact pretty much anything they show and start at the beginning within minutes of the live broadcast starting. So you can watch practice, qualifying and the race whenever you like.

Was just the ease of not needing to run cables for myself personally. I moved house and where my TV is I would have had to have ran cables either under floorboards or tagged along skirting then round a door.

I also like the fact that if I forget to record say the F1, then I can start the program off whenever I like from the start.

Picture quality is better and sound is better as well as you can set it to passthrough instead of just Dolby digital or DD+.
No 18 month Contract. No waiting for an install due to next day delivery. No dish on the wall, no cables running down the side of the house, no hole in the wall having to be drilled. No Engineer with dirty boots traipsing through your house, taking what could be a couple of hours to sort everything if you're having 2 or 3 boxes. The advantages for Sky are less Engineers, cheaper equipment costs and faster uptake and income with less opportunity to cancel before Install.
