Sky Friends and Family deal thread! Now with, er NOW deals!

@MissChief My girlfriend's sky TV contract is up for renewal at our home. We are tempted to add movies (and paramount+) in too for the right price, but we are wondering if the existing customer deal will cover the entire package, or only the addition?

Alternatively, can my girlfriend cancel and I take up a new account in my name as a new customer? I've not had Sky TV before.

So I can supply a code to discount the movies upgrade but it would be cheaper to cancel and take my code, although I cannot say officially!

Hi @MissChief I called 2 days ago and think the pricing given to me was pretty much normal with about £5 off - even called back today and no luck about £85 total. I’ve not had an install so pretty sure I can just cancel, I tried to cancel today to see if I could get the cost down but I was told there was a scheduled callback so I could cancel now or wait for a callback in a couple of days.

What’s the best way to sign up new (mainly want sky and bt sports UHD)

Cheapest is generally at a Kiosk or retail store in a shopping centre.

Ah anything online or go over the phone - atm it’s £85p/m for sky and bt sport uhd, 70mbps broadband and cinema uhd on sky Q which I’m sure is too much as it doesn’t even include an extra mini box. That was what I got quoted as a new customer.

Those discounts seem more possible on sky Q rather than glass, glass from prices given is almost double the cost.

Call and speak to sales. if you've already booked you can speak to pre-active cancellations.

Thanks, what price point should I push for for that package - ideally looking for the full works with an extra mini box?. Reasonably would you think It would be much less than the £85 quoted?.

If I cancelled and signed up again through you is there anything worth doing do you reckon going through that process. Appreciate the help!.

Put in a cancellation then try the live chat a few days later, I've always had better deal offers with that rather than calling.
I did try the live chat but they told me as I was pre-active there’s no more offers they can do this month as the system didn’t allow them and nothing can be done manually. They also said if I cancelled the pre-active order I’d loose the £100 bill credit. Not sure if it’s a bluff

Hello bud, are these codes still "available"?
I am in the middle of re-negotiating my TV and broadband at the moment...
If you have already put cancellation call them say you got a letter through (I just got one, a sorry to see you go letter, which says offer ends 6th October). £33 a month for Sky Signature & Sports +£7 for cinema +£5 to add Netflix +£11 for multiroom +£2 for UHD (though if you take multiroom they will waive this) and HD should cost +£4 but they didn't state a cost on that on the letter. Nothing on the letter about broadband but I was a TV only customer.
