Sky Friends and Family deal thread! Now with, er NOW deals!

I sent you a DM.
Thanks mate, but I seem to be getting a technical error page after going through customizing the package on the Sky website, not sure if anyone else is getting this? Happens even if I don't go through F&F.

Can't help you there I'm afraid, but with issues like that the usual things to try would be turn off ad-blockers, try a different browser etc?

Yep looks like it's my DNS and adguard causing the issues, works fine imcognito.

My contract ends 4th March so if no deals forthcoming will be using your referral, many thanks.

I'm out of contract with Sky Stream. I had Sky Sports on the rolling 1 month basis last year purely for F1 which I cancelled in December. Given I only really need it for F1, I'm loathe to pay £29pm for Sky Sports for F1, just wondering what my best options are?

Moving to a new house soon (sold ours and moved to mother in law's until new house is ready), so looking for TV and Broadband options. Had been with Sky in old house so will probably stick with them. Any good deals/codes floating about please? :)

I’ve got sky glass TV package, renews in April after an 18 month contract. I have fibre too, but it’s rubbish speeds because I live in the sticks. I have a secondary much faster connection and have been paying sky £60 a month just for broadband and talk. So this is fibre at around 30Mbps, talk package with evenings and weekends (Just for the MIL) and £4 (Discounted) for Max Wi-fi, despite using Ubiquiti. I got the email saying contract coming to an end, last week and renewal was £69 a month! Phoned them to cancel the entire BB and talk (Keeping TV) and I had a very fast talking polite lady, trying to make out she was doing me a favour, and saying that if I renewed, the garunteed speeds would be lower because they realise they can’t honour previous stated speeds, which I know. (To be fair they gave me the right to exit 3 times) and I explained that:

1) Yes, I understand that if I renewed, the speed guarantee would reduce, as they can’t honour the speed and want to lock me in.
2) Despite paying £60 a month, the renewal is £69 a month which is too much
3) MIL who likes a land line, and who is 91, used the phone 3 times last bill, and because she forgot to hang up and redial after an hour, the call from York to Sevenoaks, which lasted 1 hour 53 mins cost me almost an additional £15 which was ridiculous.

After much back and fourth, I said take off the max wifi, take off the call package, just keep the BB as I’ll keep it as a backup connection. Initially she couldn’t do this, until I asked why and then she could. But the price was £51 a month, after some clarification, this came down to £24.99 a month, to match what I said Plusnet cost for the same package so I said fine. Let’s proceed.

“There’s a £10 admin fee.” Admin fee for what? I’m already a customer. “It’s a default fee and I can’t take it off”. Ok, fine, cancel the lot, I’m not paying a £10 admin fee. Ultimately after her throwing a load of BS my way, it got cancelled.

Now I’ve received a text, saying they want my 18 month old router back, and are sending a pre-paid box. Realistically, what are they going to do with it? And apparently if I don’t return it (I will) they will charge me £75.

Cool. Now I’m seriously tempted to tell them to do one for the TV package, again at another £70 a month and apparently going up again…

Some remind me, what’s my incentive to stay?
