As title just had sky ring and as I have their fibre and phone they have offered me sky tv for nothing just missing movies and sport. No catches just 1000 people getting this offer. Asked about multi room and just have to pay the 10.25 a month for that. Getting it installed on Saturday. Anyone else had this offer ?

He already said 'at no extra cost' for what I'm assuming is twelve months?

You've probably been re-bundled/re-contracted for all your services, potentially susceptible to future price rises too.

Just 1000 people allowed it? limited period you must agree today as it's a popular offer running out?... One of the oldest tricks going!

I have seen on the latest sky bundles adverts that their prices are due to increase by 10per cent on September 1st. Its in the small print at the bottom of the screen. Guess they wanted you added to their list :p

Edit

I did have a knock on my door by a sky rep this week but since I was in the middle of my tea I didn't answer but did get their number posted through my letterbox probably going to offer me a deal like that cos of the dish on my house. Shane I don't have sky and the dish was the previous owners.

I asked if I had to pay anything 5 times and each time told installation recordable hd box and the entertainment package absolutely free for 12 months. Only thing I have to pay for is the multiroom that is 10.25 a month. Omce the 12 months is up I will stick a freesat box upstairs as well.

Am i one of the few suckers who is still paying full price for everything, having never been made any offers :( (Admittedly I've never left Sky, which is when they try to reel you back in with offers I guess).

There will be a new contract for the tv for 12 months not an issue as it's free. The sky fibre is only 8 months or so into it's 12 month contract so there really is no catch that I can see.

Virgin Media proactively offered me double broadband speed and TIVO for peanuts, I think they must be worried about people jumping over to BT or something and just want to tie people into new contracts?

You will be in a 12 month contract for phone/bb and tv now, they wont be separate.

Additionally your TV subscription is only free as a BB/phone customer, meaning the price can be increased on that bundle and you have to swallow it.

I think this st times.

I'm moving house soon but I'm going to make it seem although I'm quitting in rage at their **** service then get a good new offer for my new home.

I know they are trying to attract new customers but ******* on your existing customers always strikes me as an odd business practice.
