sky just rang.

I have seen on the latest sky bundles adverts that their prices are due to increase by 10per cent on September 1st. Its in the small print at the bottom of the screen. Guess they wanted you added to their list :p

Edit

I did have a knock on my door by a sky rep this week but since I was in the middle of my tea I didn't answer but did get their number posted through my letterbox probably going to offer me a deal like that cos of the dish on my house. Shane I don't have sky and the dish was the previous owners.

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Sky legally had to announce their price rises for those customers who signed up and what those price rises were likely to be. Sky said Prices may rise by UP TO 10%. Not prices WOULD rise by 10% across every single package they do. There's a very good chance that the only package that will go up by 10% is Entertainment. 10% is £2. Not a huge amount of money. As bloody always, scaremongering, chinese typing and not reading a damned thing correctly.

I think this st times.

I'm moving house soon but I'm going to make it seem although I'm quitting in rage at their **** service then get a good new offer for my new home.

I know they are trying to attract new customers but ******* on your existing customers always strikes me as an odd business practice.

Dozens of customers have been contacted offering half price BB for 12 months if they recontract? Admittedly that's for customers on BB unlimited but by all means phone and don't immediately ask for a discount, ask to remove some packages, maybe even cancel completely ifg you're feeling brave.

If you can Virgin then work out what you'll pay with them. if not talk about 'not getting value' and 'most of what we watch is on freesat anyway' and see what you get offered. No one at Sky will offer you a discount when you've clearly demonstrated you're willing to pay the full price!

keep meaning to cancel Sky, my FF has ran out now and am paying £55

£30 just on TV entertainment/HD and it's just booring as hell looping the same carp.

rest BB/Phone

You must have a huge stake in Sky; any time anyone slightly hints of a negative aspect surrounding your beloved sky you appear all guns blazing to protect them.

AFAIK a 10% rise in any aspect could possibly be seen as free get out of contract?

I got the same call, said no.

I want to cancel sky im getting worse speeds then I did on my first broadband connection 10 years ago...

Gonna try TalkTalk and that free youview box.

Sky without Sky Sports should be free in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't pay for the basic package in isolation.

Most of the programmes on offer aren't up to much. And Sky Sports is starting to annoy me with all the loud betting adverts. I often wonder if compulsive gamblers are the type of people who are influenced by people who shout at them? Perhaps they like to be dominated? Do it NAWH......... VICTOR!!

But I won't be missing The British (and Irish) Lions on Sky Sports, nor the Ashes.
