sky sapping internet?

Hi I have had sky TV for a few months now and when i pluged cya into the phone line my download speed went from about 4.7 meg to around .33 meg, unplugged sky and the speeds went back up again, sky say we have to pay £30 a month if its unplugged... what can

Pfft just unplug it and wait till they phone of write about it

Plug hack in for a day or so and then unplug it again

Any problems blame the wiring ?

the hole things not been wired up right! there broken and bare wire.... sky can gfto if they try and charge me! even when i plug sky in its still not working :L
meh never use sky apart from air crash invest anyways they can get lost.

We have 3 sky boxes, 1 down stairs 2 upstairs, non of them are plugged into the phone sockets.

We have yet to have a letter/phone call and we have had it like that for the past 3 years, every time we get someone out to sort our boxes out when they go funny, all they ever do is do the ring back from their little pda thing.

I wouldn't worry about having the phone line connected to your box, especially if it makes the connection worse..

there sending an engineer round on friday, its still under warrenty so i am/will not pay a penny XD.

the box in the kitchen is not working even being pluged in now! XD meh i think i will find away to cancel sky

like I said sky are reasonable.. tell them it's plugged in and wont call back they'll send and engineer out to it!

but they are. It's his own equipment being at fault that is preventing him from watching.

sky fitted the equipment, also even when i have plugged in its still not working, loads of the wiring isnt even in one peice dude from sky drilled 2 wholes in the wall and left then open... VERY VERY poor job!

I would complain about the installation. Explain what is happening, Sky are usually pretty good with stuff like this.

so your saying your BB is better is your sky tv box is not connected to the phone line ?
