Yeah they work I think via top up TV, not sure if you need a card to get them to work though, but expensive. No idea if they will be free this weekend though.

The free weekend is only available to Sky TV and Virgin Media customers. Sky Sports on Freeview requires specific hardware, whereas on Sky and VM its just a case of turning off the encryption.

Got a letter in the post this morning though saying Sky's going up £3.50 in September .

Yeah they Sky price hike is annoying, but then other than the VAT rise, there prices haven't changed since they reorganised the packages, which was a good few years back...

Properly hacked off with their broadband, but that's a different story.

Tried turning the box off then on? Works ok here on VM.

Yeh, I'm looking forward to it too for the same reasons, except we would have watched the highlights which can be a bit confusing at times when they keep wizzing it on a few laps. Sometimes when the race goes a bit dull for a a few laps it gives you chance to work out all the timings and stuff to try and workout pit stops and stuff, the highlights mean you can't do that.

quick question, i have recorded the the grand Prix on the Sky f1 channel during this free giveaway, and as i understand it, the offer goes back to normal at midnight. Would i be able to watch the recording on a channel i now no longer have?
