Sky

I seriously doubt they can be as bad as Virgin. One of the single worst companies I have ever dealt with.

Sky on the over-handed never provided us with anything but a good service when we used them :)

I had the opposite. Atleast Virgin knew where they installed their box, Sky still wont admit they installed it in my house and not the one at the bottom of the road. We dont even have similar numbers

My mum has recently had a bad do with them, because basically she wanted to change to sky broadband and when we called them to give the mac code they kept saying it was wrong and phone back old provider. Only to discover that it was sky's fault all along ! they had misheard one of the letters in the mac code or there alpha machine whatever that is had kept putting it wrong ... my mum even said i could hear you perfectly ! she hasn't had the hub yet either which was meant to be here in a " few days " so they said and she's supposed to be getting connect on monday.

Update:

Just had a reply finally to 3 emails i sent with a big list of woes and issues. This is what i got back in its entirety. No name, no offers to try to call again, no apology just this...

Left message on mobile asking you to call us on 08442 41 41 41, I think our system is looking for your banking details, thank you

Think? they have my bank details from me. They have already taken money from me!
The guy i phoned last night (as the website told me to call to cancel) started calling me a liar and arguing they couldn't do anything wrong. I had to ask him not to insult me any more as i found it unprofessional and didn't like it..
Turns out they cant cancel over the phone and it has to be in writing. I have never got such poor service from any company. They are a joke.

I'm still in shock from actually being on the receiving end of this. its very surreal.

I've signed up with BT now just to get at least a phone line and internets in before i go too mad not having any :)

I've recently found a new trick to get excellent customer service.

Tweet about the problem on Twitter making sure you mention the company name and within a few minutes you will normally get a reply from their "super" customer services.

I've have 3 problems solved in the last month that i'd nearly given up on after spening hours ont he phone :)

When my remote broke Sky told me I had to send it off to a 3rd party who had installed my equipment. A week or so later I rang up the 3rd party company to see how the repairing of my remote was coming along and they claimed they never received it, after arguing over the phone for seeveral minutes they refused to send me a replacement.

I then called back Sky explaining the situation to which they said there's nothing they could do other than offer to sell me a new remote, I said no thanks I'd like to cancel my movies and sports subscriptions then. A new remote arrived in the post the next day :p
