SkyHD due to be installed in 2 days. What do i need to know?

Update went well.

Now I don't know if there is a delay or not lol. Think my mind is playing games with me or im focusing too much on peoples lips to see if it is out of sync. AAAAhhhhhhhhhhh

Whats all this talk about EPG and why doesn't my SkyHD box show ITV HD?

There is a new (MUCH) better HD EPG being rolled out at the moment

ITV HD is available if you have the new EPG. I have boxes with both EPG's on at the moment, the old one looks like a joke now that i have used the new one for a few days.

It's either the Serano SB800 or the Serano SC500B (Which are suited for corners) The number indicates the width if it wasn't obvious.

EDIT: The one under the TV looks like a Serano one aswell, but there are lots of similar ones.

They update boxes in batches, you will get it soon enough. They usually send you a letter just before they do it.

Sometimes the delay in the audio cannot be fixed on sky HD as the audio actually comes after the picture. Confusing but that seems to be the problem that surfaces depending on the film/program and the make of box/firmware.

Noticed it with my PACE, but the forced update seemed to sort that out and haven't seen it since.

P.s. set your planner up to record Yellowstone on BBC HD, truly amazing. The footy yesterday was stunning too, but that was mainly because of young Mr Federico

Well i phoned Sky today and told them about my lip-sync issue and the audio coming after the picture so audio delay option is useless. An engineer will come on Saturday to have a look.

Whats he going to do? Replace the Pace box? I thought Pace boxes were the best? If so should i not get it swapped (if that's what it comes down to) or just keep it and hope sky will sort the issue out???

I did a force update and now its the latest version 1.614 but still the issue.
