skylake processor, which one???

Tbh 390 isnt a terrible gpu but paired with a 6700k is kinda stupid.

££120 cheaper 6600k and a 980ti would deffinatly perform better in games than a 6700k and 390.

Especially if ur looking at 4k its more gpu bound than cpu. Even an 8350 competes at 4k its all about the gpu.

Generally i7 inly is ur gonna go sli / crossfire.

im guessing i cant buy the second graphics card in the future then? i wish you 2 would stop trolling a put someting constructive into the thread, its getting a bit childish and cringe now

I gave you something constructive. Here is something constructive..

A 6600k and a 980ti is a far better buy than a 6700k and a 980/390 variant you are looking at.

If you think otherwise then you are simply wrong.

Constructive enough for you?

I don't have a horse in this race but it seems pretty clear to me that 5820k is the way to go if I was to upgrade. Not much in it cost wise (I'd be aiming to get 4years out of it). More cores, personally I expect this to become more of an advantage in the future given the multi core consoles. With DX12 I'm not sure that high single core IPC will continue to dominate, I may be wrong but we'll find out soon enough.

Things could get more interesting if AMD can pull out a decent 6 or 8 core processor to give Intel a nudge ;)

im willing to spend up to 350 on a gpu... i just cant justify spending over 500 on a 980ti when i only have a 1080p panel, the reason i want a i7 6700k is for the possibility of sli in the future... that and i might be doing a bit of photo/video rendering as well.

So when you said previously how a 5820k was so much inferior to a 6700k and that gaming was your priority you now decide you fancy doing a bit of rendering.

You can justify spending so much for a 6700k over a 6600k for zero gain. You're just trolling now. I hope someone suspends you from forum because you are making zero sense and I can only attribute that to someone trying to wind us up.

A 980ti build would cost you about 20-30 quid more than your silly 6700k planned build and give you 30% more gaming performance.

You have said in the past how you spent time on the Internet researching after people told you various things . Your research seems to be bringing you to a retarded conclusion.

That's unfortunate because X99 would have been better for a SLI system and for photo/video rendering which you weren't at all interested earlier.

Tbh i dnt reckon hes bought anything and just trolling. Will probably have money for a titan x tommorow cusbits better tech than the 980ti

a bit... not a jobs worth of video editing.. will be more for gaming! but if you did your research u would know that the 6700k is up to the task of both whilst offering a better performance as far as gaming goes :)

Tell me why the 6700k build is the better choice? Actually give an answer and dont just say I'm being "sad and lonely" or trolling you.

ye i wouldnt buy the 6700k of here in a million years lol

Well tell me what figures youre dealing with. A google shows £305 - £332 as about lowest for a retail 6700k . Thats from a weird site Id not personally use.

6600k comes in at £209 from that very same place on a google shopping search.

Try and give a reply that can prove all us naysayers wrong about you.
