Skyline

Oh my word, just got back from this.

It's bad, and I mean really, really bad. Probably the worst film i've seen at the cinema.

People were walking out half way through, and I can honestly say i've never seen that. Terrible plot, terrible acting.... just terrible.

Avoid at all costs.

The worst film I've ever seen was buried. I left that film annoyed that I'd paid to see that piece of crap. On the plus side, it's opened my mind a bit to films which are pretty bad, I'd say Skyline was about a thousand times better, still poor but I'm thankful they didn't shoot the whole ***ing film in a box

That said, when I saw Mr Nice 3 people got up and left, with one just announcing "this is ****" as he left, the only film I've ever seen it happen in.

I'd probably give Skyline 3/10 - it was tedious and I was waiting for it to end, there was nothing original. I hadn't seen the trailer but I thought from the start of the film it had potential, and wasn't going to show you what was chasing them. Looks like there's going to be a sequel, don't think I'll be bothering with that though!

OK then to sum up, Skyline is a cross between Independance Day (10/10), Cloverfield (4/10), War Of The Worlds (7/10), Starship Troopers 1 (10/10) and District 9 (10/10) but somehow managed to come in with a score of 0/10.

If you think Independance Day is a 10 out of 10 film then you don't really have a right to be questioning anyones judgement. ;)

But 10 out of 10, the highest rating you can give any movie? Most amusing.

Why is it amusing? I think it's one of the best films ever made.
Other 10/10's for me are:
The Abyss
The Sound Of Music
District 9
and a whole lot more I can't think of at the moment.
On the other scale I give films like Inception and The Moon 0/10 but after Skyline I'm going have to re-think their scores and give them 1/10.

I just think its a shame that you even list Independance Day along with true classics like The Abyss. Im sure you really enjoy ID when you watch it, but there is an air of riduculousness about giving it the highest rating a movie can be given.

Basically any film I can watch over & over & over & over again gets a 10/10.
Films like Total Recall & Armageddon are also in this category.

Is skyline the one where aliens come with giant human-sucking hoovers? I've seen trailers for that which did not make me want to see the film.

how can you class independance day a comedy ?????? if theres any humour in it , its by accident .... unless you class will smiths " now that's what i call a close encounter" line ....

I find it strange how you rate films based on Replayability? I rate films based on how good they actually are!

How can you say Inception and Moon are rubbish? imo Inception is 9/10 and Moon 8/10. The films are both very good, better than the average tripe released these days.

I can honestly say I can't watch any film multiple times without getting bored of it. Sometimes if I haven't seen a film in a while I don't mind watching it again, you forget some stuff etc, but generally I am always on the lookout for films to watch that I haven't seen before.

They are rubbish because I will never watch them again and first time round it was a fight to stay to the end.
This is my opinion and I'm allowed it.

Of course you're allowed an opinion, but that doesn't stop it being complete and utter tosh.

Ok, so you your opinions are better than mine.
I bow down to your superiority.

I don't know how your brain is working but if I can watch a film over & over then to me it must be an excellent film.
If I don't ever want to watch a film again then it must be a bad film to me.
How else would you personally judge a film to your own preferences/experiences?

Don't get confused that I think a film like Inception is totally crap because the CGI is excellent, the storyline I suppose is excellent, the acting was excellent but for me the film was very hard to watch and I won't bother again.
Did not enjoy one bit (except for a bit of CGI).

My opinion is valid and not utter tosh no matter how superior you think you are.

Sorry, but if you think inception is crap and independance day is a ten out of ten, then you clearly have appalling taste in films. That's not 'opinion'... its fact.

Stop being such a drama llama, there's worse things in the world than having poor taste in films. :D

Before I watch another film I will ask your opinion to whether I should like it or not and how much since you obviously know what you're on about.

Tell me whether I should like any of these and how many out of 10 because I really don't want to waste my time if you know better :

Made In Dagenham
Red
Unstoppable
Fair Game
Ice Twisters
Case 39
Due Date
New Town Killers
Born To Raise Hell

Thanks oh worthy one.
