I have just bought the VR Version of Skyrim (i don't own the flat version)

and i am rather disappointed

worse that i expected

Graphics are nothing like i was expecting
bit Janky

Vendetta i cant find how to disable
Controls are bad

Is there something im missing here ?
i thought i was going to love this game
oblivion (non VR) was fantastic

so far a let down

Wabbajack and Skyrim FUS modlist if you want a decent framerate and some graphic upgrades, but more true to the original graphic style. Mad Gods Overhaul if you want amazing graphics, fashion model NPCs, but terrible framerate.

You also need a premium nexus mods to auto-download the mods.

The modded versions (both FUS and Mad Gods) have full body presence, and much better controls, including many proper VR interactions (for example being able to pick up objects naturally, and distance grabbing). Recent mods include proper body physics and being able to pull the chains to open doors.

yes, you need to mod the game. It's easy now, much easier that it was a few years ago. Just download wabbajack and install the mod you want. Suggest FUS for your first go. But The Mad Dog Overhaul is amazing and since you have a 5080 RTX, it will work really well. Make sure you get a Nexusmod premium account for a month or else it will be an absolute pain to download.

Aye, the default SKyrimVR is *******. Fully modded up is the only path.

I didn't bother with Mad Gods for this one as you need about 500GB space which is just getting silly. I went my own way and added ENB etc too, and it's glorious, especially on a Dream Air. Skyrim modding can eat your life though, be warned....

well, i must say, the FUS mod has certainly made the game more tolerable now

everything i mentioned has improved

Will try mad dog next, hmm, going to need a bigger drive soon ! haha

Nexus API Limits

Wabbajack uses the Nexus Mods API in order to automatically download files (only available with a Nexus Mods Premium account). The API has a limit to restrict the number of automated interactions a user account can have with the site in a given time frame in order to help mitigate the site being impacted by massive volumes of requests.

If you run out of API calls you will have to wait until they reset or manually download missing mods and put them in your downloads folder.

API allocations reset daily at Midnight UTC-timezone

This is a limitation imposed by Nexus Mods and cannot be circumvented or changed by Wabbajack.

WHAT ?

try again later basically.

It's worth buying Nexus premium for the install. Cancel when you have it running to your satisfaction. You can download individual mods to install on top later if you want without premium.
