Sleeping Dogs Bench Thread

Come on then Matt, let's have at it. Pit one of your single cards against my year old Titan and give it everything you have. Your PSU is enough to beat me in this massively AMD favoured game surely? No hiding behind price and all that garbage. Just get it done.

After seeing how you broke your first Titan in the Tomb Raider thread Greg, ill pass. I don't mind being below you on the leaderboard. :)

Maybe your £850 gpu should be trying to beat my £560 dual gpu score? :p

Challenge issued

Challenge declined. I would not dare challenge his epeen. :p

Wait what? My Titan collapsed at desktop (probably drivers :D), so please don't tell lies. I was on this very forum when the computer just shut off.

Bottle boy...Grow a pair ;)

Lol we all know you broke it trying to better your score Greg. :D #livingalie

Think what you like, I don't care  Have you never just had a GPU stop working under normal conditions or anyone?

If you don't think you can beat me, that's cool. No shame in sitting below nVidia GPU's at all brother and you guys are used to it :D

I can score much better, but this is not a bench i like to push things on. This is far more demanding than firestrike for me so will not risk it. I did one quick single gpu run overclocked and added 21.4% onto my single gpu score but i decided not to submit. I have it saved just incase but i will likely wait until ive got a brand new psu before attempting better.

EDIT

Oh yeah my single gpu run was done at x8 pci-e2.0 as well as i could not be arsed to take the pc apart. Probably only lost a couple of percent at most though.

Ok just to prove im a man of my word.

I did run a quick bench at 1200/1500 yesterday. I won't be submitting this though and i won't be trying to better it until i get a better psu and better cooling. One of my cards does 1200 core easily so bettering this score will be easy.

Why not submit it and you think your 850W isn't enough for one card benching?

My PSU is 750W and this bench makes it shut off my computer, so no i don't think its a good idea to keep trying it. :(

Unlike you Gregos i don't like to burn my hardware into the ground so i can have my epeen stroked by other males by being top of a forum leaderboard. :p

I don't do things halfway. If im going to commit to something, im all in. I'll be back and when i have better components to make it worthwhile but i expect by the time that happens i will have lost interest. One things for sure, the gpus can go further but on the reference cooler/my psu its not worth risking things. As i said this puts things under considerably more strain than firestrike does, hence my higher clocks in that bench.

One 290 pro shuts off your PSU when overclocked?

Really?

I don't know if one does. I only did one single gpu run overclocked and decided its not worth risking it when i saw the temps. Running two cards with a small overclock (see my 1080p Dual bench run) shuts off the pc when it hits the final indoors scene. Orangey reported exactly the same problem and he has a 850W psu vs my 750W. Just not willing to risk my components on this bench to get a better score.

I can't see one card tripping anything TBH but I understand why especially on air.

The last scene is the killer. I was hitting 130%. Power target in a couple of instances just in that one scene.

EDIT: not sure why I've set a thumbs down for this post, was on my iPhone LOL.
