Sleeping Dogs

you can use WASD but i assume the person im replying to is left handed like me

:o

 Seriously, where are you getting your information!?

I misread a post above as 'can't remap from the arrow keys' and assumed they'd stuck the movement to them, thank god. :p

CJS-CD keys. I know they have got bad rep in the past from the whole guild wars thing which I was also involved in but the key was delivered and activated on steam within 5 mins ;). They also have a discount code if you like them on FB btw. Can unlike after if you so chose XD

CJS, I have heard of them but they have a terrible rep, will look into it though. :)

The Limited Edition includes the following DLC Packs:

'Georges St. Pierre (GSP)' content:
GSP's signature "flying punch"
Exclusive GSP outfit including T-shirts, headband and shorts
The GSP outfit unlocks the "flying punch" and increases grappling and throwing damage

'Police Protection' content:
Exclusive "High Speed" Mission which includes:
Exclusive HK Police SWAT Outfit
Exclusive assault rifle
Exclusive SWAT Police Vehicle

Any thoughts, does anyone have this? Is it just some generic 'flying punch (lol)' that you can find in any game or actually worth it? The outfits and SWAT stuff seem a little gimmicky to me, aren't you a gangster in SD?

This is seriously tempting me to go LE, £6 more though. :(

Loving the game1 however!

With crossfire 6950's when driving fast it seems to have a small stutter but not like a fps drop its weird, maybe as amd hast done a driver yet?

Also just noticed my fans sound really loud, louder than with any other game should i be worried or keep going?

Thanks!

Not worth it. You won't use the outfits but the mission is alright.

My 7970 ramps up the fans to noticeable levels in this game. It's the first time I have heard it tbh.

you mean the stupid camera shake effect?

Well I'm playing it with the 360 controller. It seems the game is built for it anyway.

Very impressed with what I've seen so far. Combat feels very Batman AA/Assassin's Creed like. Driving isn't bad but was never going to be a patch on GTAIV. I haven't got far enough to judge the storyline. So far I have stolen some watches from some warehouse and got into a scrap with the guards there.

Quite impressed with the game so far though. It runs well on a 12GB, 5ghz 2600k and a single 2GB 6970. I do have a strange microstutter when panning the camera around occasionally though.

100% on Air Supply- All Out of Love:cool: ....the karaoke is a laugh!

I have gotten used to the handling a bit more now, though it is still not great. Better than SR3, not as good as GTAIV imo. I haven't had any problems with the camera tbh. The shake when going at high speeds is annoying, but I haven't found panning to be particularly bad.

The combat is not the easiest ever! I have died a few times. Still haven't got hold of a gun yet. I hope these elements that they keep showing have some purpose in the game(lockpicking/hacking etc) apart from scripted events.

Got hold of a gun now, shooting isn't bad. The vault-move is quite fun, and disarming as well. Just done a shootout in a factory and some of the nice little touches were cool, like a few destructible objects such as lights.

I am finding picking objects up from the floors to quite temperamental, very annoying.

I've used CJS before, they're generally reliable, but when they mess up they really mess up.

I was told a while ago they buy their keys from dodgy Asian market and Steam don't like that...

On the subject of guns, I think it's a bit silly when you're fighting a gang and you shoot a couple in the head - the rest continue to just stand there and try and punch you

I need a game to tide me over until GW2 hits. It's either Secret World or this. So very tempted to get this!!! Is Steam the cheapest place online? I wanna download and play now while I've still got a few hours left of vacation before I go back to work tomorrow :(

Cheers for that. Just received my key and noticed it said 'Sleeping Dogs (RU)' in Steam. Downloading now and I will see in 15 mins when it finishes downloading if the language can be switched to English or not.

Pretty sure it can be set to any language and defaults to english from what I have read.

Edit - It states on the page for the game language EN so it should be english.
