Sleeping Dogs

I made a gameplay video in 1080p for anyone interested, it shows combat, driving, free running, city atmosphere

My GOTY so far (though I expect great things from Dishonored).

nice :D what did you record it with? and I agree on the GOTY part, it is my GOTY, not enjoyed a game this much in ages.

just going to throw this out there, I think Just Cause 2 was better. Tbh 2 years later I expected more from Square Enix, I just cant get engaged with this :(

Personally I thought JC2 was a mess. At least this game has some structure. JC2 just seemed like a load of OTT set-pieces vaguely strung together. This has MUCH more depth.

The story really isnt keeping me involved, not like Mafia 2 where I couldnt put it down for fear of not knowing what happens next, the characters have rubbish backstory and I haven't skipped any of the cutscenes.

The trailers had me really interested though, so I can't work out what im doing wrong :(

Is it worth paying the extra for the Limited Edition version of the game. Or do the following not really add much to it thats worth the extra expense?

Police Protection Pack - An exclusive "High Speed" Mission and SWAT Cruiser and gear
GSP Pack - Special attire and fighting style based on Mixed Martial Arts champion Georges 'Rush' St-Pierre

i can see your point about mafia 2, if only that game was longer :( But i love this game also, the combat is so fun i think.

The story in JC2 was hardly gripping

Make sure to enable 16 AF in your graphics drivers! It improves sharpness of textures immensely. It seems the game only uses trilinear filtering by itself.

Does this run ok on older GPU's? Haven't done much gaming in recent years but quite fancy the look of this one but still have an old 1GB 460, it's in an OC'd i5 machine though.

Really loving this game so far!! Just curious on what settings people are using and what performance you seem to be getting? I have set aa to normal as i guess that would be a killer as well as shadows. Just done my first bit of driving and seemed to get around 55fps, thats with a 7850 clocked to 1050/1200 and an i5 2500k at 4.5ghz
