It is pretty cool, sadly you can't customize outfits in this for some reason. So I don't want to use it because of the grapple hook, looks like a bloody childs toy.

I'm probably about half way through now, maybe even 1/4. I hope the combat picks up. Constantly throwing the same punches gets a little tedious,

I haven't tried it with a pad yet, but since the combat is a lot like Batman AA/AC (X360), I say a pad would be the better option with this game.

In fact, after running through the demo a couple of times I've decided to pick up a new pad next week (Also for vehicles in BF3).

I play it with an Xbox Controller and it's much better than the keyboard!

It's just one of those games where console keypads win due to the lazyness of porting it.

Just finished it after 22hrs of gameplay. What an absolute blast - it's easily my GOTY for the writing and that engine alone. Brilliant stuff.
Not a single crash throughout on an AMD/i7 rig and the game was rock solid stable whilst ALT+Tabbing out to IRC many times. To be honest, the game HAS to be played with a controller. I was furious for their poor keyboard support upon buying the game but it is very clear that the game is heavily controller focused. WANT MOAR!

so much easier on the pad, you can even move the camera around properly! driving for me was ok with the k/m but now its much better.

Frame rate drops are annoying although it never gets unplayable.

I'm guessing its due to my c2d cpu though as even dropping the resolution from 1080 to 720 and changing from medium to low settings doesn't change my frame rates.

Dropped the AA to normal and it no longer crashes. So far combat is quite fun and more engaging than the likes of GTA. Graphics are attractive with crowd scenes particularly pleasing in their detail. Voice acting and animation also good. Only thing at sucks so far is the driving. Horrid arcade handling of vehicles even with Xbox controller. Truly horrid.

I need some help!

So I'm just working my way through achievements and I'm trying to complete all the events. I've done all Favors, races, car thefts and debt collections so far but its still saying 29/30. Any idea what the last even I'm missing is?

Well, I'm 2hrs in and I'm leaving this game alone until I get a pad or a wireless receiver.
KB+M is just too clunky for me to enjoy this properly.

Should I be shocked that a 1gb 5870 isn't fazed by the high res texture pack? This card just won't give up. Maybe it knows I've got my eye on a new model...

Nope. My 5850 is loving is loving it too! The game is optimized for AMD, and it really shows. Love it..

This game (demo) is a bit of system killer. 1920x1200 on the highest details and I get an average of less then 30 FPS on a 3580K @ 4.6, GTX670 stock. Looking at EVGA precision the GPU is maxed out, I wonder if it works any better on AMD video cards?

Seems to favour AMD slightly at the moment but if the game becomes a big hit Nvidia might be able to do something with their drivers.

combat picks up when you learn a bunch of moves and gain face, seems very slick by the end of the game. Im 3/4 in atm ... that said it should have been slick from the start ...

Obviously the highest AA will absolutely murder performance. Turn the AA down to normal (fxaa only I think) and with a GTX 460 I'm nearly getting 60fps.
