Sleeving network cable?

7.8mm sounds somewhat tight to fit over a network connector as they are greater than 10mm wide and likely more than 8mm high.

I'm afraid you'll need to cut the connector off and refit.

Make a new cable to size, use solid core cable, chopping off a stranded cable end and just putting a new one on may work, but it's nasty.

Why do you want to sleeve it white? Considering the cost of a new white cable is a couple of quid on Amazon...

Cuz its been plastered behind a wall. And goes to a wall mounted wifi access point. In hindsight should have bought white cable but had a roll of grey so meh.
Could paint the cable but thought would give sleeving a try first.
Dont want to cut the connector off and risk running short on cable.

If it's plastered behind a wall then surely you should have fitted sockets :)
Could still do this and add a white cable from the socket.
Or shrink wrap. An RJ45 will easily go through a bit of heat shrink that is 20mm flat, so you might try some of this SNIP either the 12.7 dia or the 9.5 but that may be a tad small.
Andi.
Oops sorry OCUK sell heat shrink. Link removed.

Sockets not as tidy as just cable coming out the wall and running along side the accesspoint and then into it from the bottom.
Painting the cable is probably the best option
