What boot times do your SSD's perform?

Im getting long times!

In ACHI mode im getting 1min 10 sec and in IDE mode im getting 50sec

SSD is the G.Skill falcon 128mb.

Run crystalmark 2.2 and getting the benchmarks everyone else is. Just thought it would boot faster?

access time (from HD tune) in IDE is 0.1ms and in ACHI is 0.2ms

So I have stuck with IDE for now.

I have tried ACHI but its slower, so im back to [Disabled] which is IDE. There is no SATA choice, only (disabled, raid, achi)

it just sits on the bit from when the green bar goes across (3.5 times), untill the little windows icon come up for around 20 seconds or so.

What stuff are you running at start up, mine takes about 45sec but ive got a lot of things loading, IDE is the correct way to have it set.

My boot times went form 37 on a seagate 500 gig to 32 on a 30gig OCZ solid series SSD.

Not lightening quicker, but quicker,.

when in AHCI mode could be the motherboard when it looks at the ports as AHCI is Hotplug supported where as IDE mode is not and does not probe the ports unless you scan for it in device man

how come it takes you 50 secs to get to desktop on an SSD (or 1min 10 secs in AHCI) thats slower then an HDD, maybe something is lose cable wise or device, or you filled the SSD to the point it ran out of space so the drive is now degraded? (keep 20-30gb free use TRIM tool)

This is a fresh install, nothing but windows installed.

Its shipped with the latest firmware, 1571.

My laptop is booting up quicker!!!

I will try the trim tool (wiper) and see if that improves things.

Reinstalled windows and have not installed the HD audio drivers as they seem to be whats hanging to boot up.

Got it booting in 30seconds now from post to windows.

But now I have other issues, lol. I hate PC's!!!

All aligned and reinstalled. Done all tweaks.

Made a second on booting, now 49seconds, lol.

I guess SSD's are crap for booting?!?!?!?!?1

Roffles, I may have overestimated jus how fast SSDs are...I was expecting sub 30sec boots lol

Seems I wont be buying an SSD for a while.

More than likely the ATI drivers.
When I had my 4870 I noticed windows would hang for 10-15 seconds once loaded before I got the login screen.
