Slow drivers... ffs

we get them here on the backroad its a sixty but most do 40-50 not an issue if they havent been down it before but they then get to the little village in the road and its 30. Yup you guessed they still sit at 40-50 GRR

A 30 limit its sometimes easy to creep down to 25, some speedo's are not all calibrated the same it might say 30 in his car and 25 in your.

If you don;'t like it overtake or turn around...you don't own any road....it may be annoying but what makes you decide what speed others should be. Do you sit behind tractors and say hurry up when the machine cannot physically do it I bet you do.....are you picked on by your wife...does you boss bully you...do you have a small winkle..

Chill out so what 25mph and the problem is.....YOU...lol

There's quite a few posters in here that just strike me as either complete 'boy racers' or the impatient type who is prone to road rage.

What is the big problem with people not being bang on the posted limit? It holds you up for an extra few minutes, forces you to change gears, what? None of these things warrant the obvious stress it causes some of you here.

If I'm driving an a 30 and the person in front wants to go 20, I have no problem with that, even if I'm driving to a deadline; I just adjust my speed and keep a safe distance - simple as.
Sitting in my car stewing over the fact that it's a 30 and blaa blaa blaa isn't going to speed them up, and driving right up their arse end also wont help.

If I'm in a 60 and Joe/Jane Bloggs are doing a 40, I'd probably consider that a little unsafe, and would be looking at passing them, but I still wouldn't sit there getting irate over it.

I think some of you need to learn some self control and respect for other road users to be honest.

Scort.

I'm not a slow rider but there are times on the road when I can't do a reasonable limit, going up a hill, corners in heavy rain etc. If you drive on our congested roads you need to go out with a bit of tolerance and patience.

Some peeps are just plane too cautious, like drivers who needlessly slow to a crawl when they see someone pulling out miles ahead in anticipation of hitting them when the chance of hitting them is 0% due to the laws of "the zen of moving car" or something, meaning by the time they had reached the position where said car pulled out from said car would be travelling at 30mph anyway and be at least 2 car distances ahead of them!

^ These drivers are the main cause of the domino effect too!

Get a fast car and overtake them.

NEXT!

Can't do that on a normal road sir! :o

The drivers that do 40 in a 60 on a road where overtaking is hard during business rush hour, to then not slow down for the 30mph limit SHOULD BE EXECUTED.

It is much more dangerous to speed above 30 in a limited zone than to speed above 70 in a limited zone.

Infact, probably more annoying and dangerous (as I just experienced today) is people who tap their brakes when they don't need too. Especially on motorways!!!

I went to Brum today & drove the slowest i have ever driven in my life-boy :D
51mph (taken from Tommy) on the Motorway & i was in a Y reg Mondy with 250k up it :p that drives Fantastic.
I was following a mate in a LDV Pilot curtain sider so i wasn't dictating the speed & trotted on nicely on the way home without the Leyland piece of ***** slowing us down
All i can say is it's damn hard staying awake when driving at that speed.

I dont think I'd class myself as a boy racer anymore, but I admit I do get highly stressed (sometimes) when I encounter these fools. I suppose for you a five minute delay doesnt really affect you to much, I on the other hand do roughly 2000 - 2500 miles a week, so 500 miles a day. I only need to encounter 3 or 4 of these people and it has a HUGE effect on my working day.

I'd also like to add to the list those annoyed arses that attempt to join motorways at 40mph. What the hell is that all about? Do they want to make the process as dangerous as possible for everyone stuck behind them.

i find it very annoying when people are doing 40 in a 60 zone.. or even 70 zone, it cause huge queues on busy roads, buses , large vehicles or special circumstances i dont mind.. but i do question whether some of the slowest of the slow should be allowed to drive on the roads unless they have a good reason to be slow.

These people dont bother me at all, 99% of my journeys im not in any rush at all, if someone is doing 40 in a 60 I hold back and look for a safe place to overtake and carry on at whatever speed I want.

As said before its a limit, not a goal.

you sure being up someones arse doesnt cause them to go faster? I know someone who drives 20-40maximum everywhere, but if someones up his arse he'll get nervous and speed up.

Also, it really ****** em off, they **** you off, why not do their head in too? :P

They should be forced to pull up if more than 1 car is queueing behind em.

Is it 5minutes faster though? no not really... Had a timer in courtesy car and it took 7minutes to get to work at 2am whereas on a sunday it can take around 25-30minutes.... oooooOOOoooo lets go to tesco!! and they make a day out of driving.. wtf?

I used to be able to do home to work in 7 minutes when I had the Subaru(took home the keys by accident one day and got a phone call when I got in.. Boss was shocked that I turned up so quick, he said he'd only just put the phone down LOL)
I'm lucky to get there in 20 now I'm down about 360BHP haha.
Dam thing wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding :(
Some days I ramp the **** out of it and even something mundane like a 2.0l Mondeo will still beat me driving normally.
