Some people are just naturally bad at driving though, even if they are learning. Others have an aptitude for it.Maz said:Listen mate - he's learning to drive OF COURSE he aint any good, if he was he would have had a license by now!
Unless you know the op how can you say that? If I had failed my confidence would have taken a huge knock and would have put me back about 10 weeks, maybe more. My instructor knew that confidence under "pressure" was my main problem so we worked under the assumption that I would only take a test when she was 99% confident I would pass.NathanE said:That feeling will last all of 20 minutes... chances the OP will take it on the chin and put it down to experience then pass on his second test.

Yes it does, and I have never got in a car with those people behind the wheel since. The reason for me making that comment was to show that Joe Bloggs saying "yeah well I passed my test with only 10 hours of lessons" doesn't mean a great deal. Yes he might be a great driver then again he might have fluked a test. To me a driving licence should mean that you have a good understanding of the road not just that you can do enough to convince someone your ok behind the wheel for half an hour.Lopéz said:Does this not concern you even one little bit? :/
And I'd hold off with the personal insults about people being morons too.
Wasn't targetted at anyone specific or specifically at the forum, I was refering to 'people' as in just that, ie people in the real world.lordrobs said:*Snip*
Please refrain from insulting people. Others are allowed an opinion without fear of being branded a moron. - Rilot

That sounds like a good idea.Desmo said:Why not just book one lesson with another instructor and see what they think of your driving? They may say you're much better than your current instructor thinks. Or they my put you at the same level as your current instructor. I guess at least you'll know where you're at then.

How does being a car nerd from an early age help?Kroegen said:Im on my third lesson, already been on dual carriage way, and doing roundabouts on my 4th lesson![]()
