I have got a brand new OCZ Vertex 3 60GB SSD, installed windows 7, later changed to AHCI mode. but write speeds are very slow. i cannot think of anything else to get them up
tested using CrystalDiskMark

Seq : 435-READ - 85-WRITE

is there any way to get these up? just a bit off 500mbps

thanks

i used the Windows Registry fix, it did increase read by a huge amount (almost double)

but i cant understand the write speeds, many others have used IDE and get much higher write than this :(

any ideas?

You are benching a boot drive, it could be this. OS access slows benchmarks

Ideally, boot from a different drive and bench the other as a slave.

Anyone?

I need a bit of help on this one :(

really dont know what its doing.
i have tested my 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 and that gets ~130MBps read and write. 60MBps with a SSD isnt right surely?
