Antec Fusion Remote HTPC Case - Black £122.60
(£104.34) £122.60
(£104.34)
Coolermaster Silent Pro Modular 500W Power Supply £69.47
(£59.12) £69.47
(£59.12)

Used for my HTPC setup, works very well.

I was going to suggest the Micro Fusion too, it really is a great looking case (my mate has one). Is the silver really that bad? lol

The second result, its a smaller thin case.

Other than that you could spray the micro fusion black. The front panel can probably be removed and sprayed np.

How about a Silverstone LC17? around £80.

Fans are a little noisy but can be easily replaced with some Noctua's or similar.

The Lian Li MATX cases are nice too but are out of stock at OCUK -

Or a Silverstone Sugo -

Hmmm still looking to big I think I'm liking the look of the hiper one real slim one but seems out of stock everywhere and I've read about heat issues! Only bout £60 with 200watt psu!

I was debating the Antec Fusion Micro too as it wasn't all black. I bought it in the end just after a popular site reduced it from £140 to £69, so it was a bargain for me. It's sat in my living room now and looks the dog's danglies. I'm really very pleased with it, and the LCD screen is cool as well as useful for info on programme, volume, track playing and about a million other things. Other HTPC cases were too big really, this blends in brilliantly.

For those reasons I also recommend the Antec Fusion Micro.

Well it's a tenner more at that retailer now, which is the normal price, when I got it, it was reduced and in a £40 off sale or something. It's still a darn good case for the money. OcUK have it for a shade over £80, which isn't bad either.

Might want to get hunting for somewhere with quidco on it to get a bit back on whatever you choose though. Most places will do free delivery when you spend that much.

Fusion micro only takes low profile cards. Wasn't a problem for me as I have a Hauppage Win TV Nova-T 500 and a compro E700. The latter came with a low profile bracket and the former was just a case of emailing Hauppage and they sent one out foc.

It does limit expansion capability, but most HTPC are designed to use the integrated gfx on the mobo (I have a 780G board in mine). A lot of decent sound cards are also available in low profile, so it shouldn't be a prob if you want to use one of those either.

how do you find the tv card? i was looking at the compro t500f or t750f. i guess these wouldnt fit.

The Compro has always been excellent. Switches channels very quickly and image quality is prettymuch as good as it get's for DVB-T. I paid £55 odd for it a year and half ago now I think. I never used the bundled software other than to mess about with when I first installed it, always been used with Media Center on vista or 7. The other decent thing about this one (and I think the ones you mention, at least the T500F anyway) is that it can wake up the PC on a schedule in line with recordings if you need that function, though the drawback is you have to use the compro software.

The Hauppage (if you care, they're pretty old now) is good too, support is great and there's a very large happy customer base. The Compro has the edge in terms of image/channel switching speed though in my opinion. That's very subjective though, I haven't tested them side by side.

EDIT: Also looks like the T750F won't be able to fit in low profile cases.
