Small MX-5 mods

Despite the high mileage, if it's in as good a condition and rust-free as advertised, that's not a bad price really.

I'm seriously wanting an MX-5 now. Just need another job which means I have to hand the keys to my Swift Sport back to my boss. I doubt unassisted is the way forward if they're that much of a PITA, as the wife will be driving it too (she has uber weedy lady arms).

Sorry for the hijack DRZ - back on topic!

When you do this can you do a step by step guide so I can copy it, I believe mine are the same but can't remember now, will be handy if they are!

Sure thing.

I am going to get the surrounds for the door handles made up by the trimmer at the same time as I get the arm rest done to match the seats :)

Looks good, just spent most of the day driving across Buxton in a Mk2.5 S-VT Sport, very impressed the little changes Mazda have done over the Mk2 make it a worthy future upgrade for you MK2 lads.

Me too, they make you feel like you've done a big soft poo in your pants.

Yeah, this is how I feel too. However, if feeling like I have messed myself results in a more pleasant midnight/winter hoon experience overall then the couple of hours of mucking about wiring them in will be well spent :)

What led you to be doing that?

What are the changes you noticed?

Helped a friend pick one out, went to collect it then he let me spend some time driving it, noticed quite a few things which are better, key points being:

- Steering feels better weighted
- Brakes are better
- Engine is much improved over the older 1.8 unit

Another small change!

I think I'd of prefered a re-trim over the used seats. I'm undecided on the alloys too as I think both sets look abit... :(

It sure does have some lovley flowing lines though, especially in that third picture :)

Preferred the looks of the old wheels, but looks aren't everything ;)

Should have re-trimmed the old seats too imo..... Really like the car though, good to see someone getting enjoyment out of it, that's what it's all about.
