Small sporty'ish car up to £10k?

I've driven a mk7 fiesta ST and the wife has an F56 Mini Cooper S.

Both are great fun to drive, but I'd actually say I prefer the Cooper S, it feels more go-karty and connected to the road better.

I think I spoilt myself by driving the Golf first...

Liked the Clio and the S1, but loved the Golf, just sitting working out some figures now.

I'm currently driving a 2017 Octavia estate, but I'm looking for something smaller and more fun, the main use for my car was transporting our dog, and we sadly lost him last week.

I was thinking something along the following lines, but open to any suggestions :-

Abarth 595
Mini Cooper
Polo GTI
Ibiza Cupra
Fiesta ST-3

Any other ideas please? Thanks.

I have a 595. As much as it's an amusing car, and I do like it, I could not recommend it to anyone else. There are too many compromises in ride, handling and it's nearly 20 year old underpinning. Plenty of space up front, might as well be a 2 seater imo. Driving position is weird, too high for the size of the car, no steering wheel reach adjustment... Somehow still like it

Probably an unpopular suggestion but the Peugeot 208GTi is in my opinion an under appreciated small hatch
